Show Notes

This message highlights the power of faith to overcome cultural pressure, emotional instability, and personal doubt. Grounded in the unchanging truth of God’s Word, faith is presented as a confident expectation of good—even in the face of adversity. Through personal testimony and biblical examples, the teaching unpacks the concept of “the word of faith,” showing how it shapes decisions, attitudes, and outcomes. Scriptures such as Romans 10:8, Isaiah 40:8, and 1 Corinthians 15:57 reinforce the call to anchor life in God’s promises and live boldly through unwavering belief.

Welcome to the World Changers Church Gold Coast Podcast. Join us as we listen to today's message. Well, good morning, everybody. How are you doing this morning? Now, I'm going to do myself a favor and turn off my phone so I can't get any texts while I'm preaching. Father, we thank you for another opportunity to minister your word, to deliver out of the Holy Spirit reservoirs of wisdom. Father, we thank you for this day. We thank you for every moment, and we shall be glad and rejoice in it. We thank you, Father, for just who you are in us, through us, and around us. It's in Jesus' name we preach. Amen. Do we have anybody on words today, guys? Yeah, yeah, I'm sweet. I'm going to jump right into a scripture this morning. Hey, brother. I'm gonna jump right into a scripture this morning. I'm a bit, you know, I've been a student of the word for 25 years, praise the Lord, amen. I have studied rabbinical for two, theology for 10. Went back for a couple more years because I felt like I needed more revelation, so I think I've been in school about as long as I've been a Christian. And the Bible says to be a student of the word, which is what disciple means, which if you ever hear that word disciple, it means student. And I've learned that inside of peer to peer ministry, there's one thing I've learned that I can be sure of. You ready for this one? Greatest revelation you'll ever have. You ready? We're all still learning. The moment I think that I have something figured out, God opens it up in another way. And the moment I'm standing strong on what I believe, you know I used to believe in like a certain version of the Bible only until I went and studied that that version was actually a rebellious version of the previous version. So I studied the Bible all the way back to the Geneva Bible. And I lost that argument because I became a student. So today I'm gonna invite you to talk about something that I believe we're all growing in in this series on faith. And I believe as we discover the balance between faith and grace that we'll begin to walk in our authority while resting in the grace favor that we have. Amen? I believe when you have the right beliefs, you relax more. I was in a group the other night, brother, it was a men's group, and this guy, you ever had them ones that they get up and they just look angry when they're talking? And you gotta pray and you gotta read the word. I was like, bro, you need to stop drinking coffee. I'm not gonna listen to you if you yelling at me. looking all angry, and then I said, boy, I guess I better change the way my face looks when I preach. But this word that we have is so rich and so strong, and we read something, and we can read it next week, and it will then open up new doors. So when I read this in Isaiah 40 and eight, it opened up a little bit more understanding to me. Isaiah 40 and eight says something very clear It says that the grass withers, flowers fades, but the word of our God stands forever. Seasons change. Weather changes. Friends change. People grow. They get attitudes. Whatever happens. But what never changes is God. And I've begun to realize that my faith is dependent on the consistency of God's word instead of my emotions that try and sound like God to change God's word. When I have faith, I'm walking in the truths and the realities of God's word. Amen? Am I making sense? I just want to lay a platform here. So in the times that we live in, whether they be good or bad, whether you're making a lot of money or you don't have any money, whether you have a job or you don't have a job, whether you have a business or don't have a business, whatever is feeling the air that feels urgent, as believers, we're not called to be swayed by culture or circumstances or emotions. We're called to live by faith. Amen? But we need to understand, as we talked about last week, God knows, God will, trust anyway, that faith is about trusting and relying on God. And we need to talk about this week about walking in that faith. We talked last week about faith being something of God that we have in God. I've heard for years people say, you need to have more faith. But my Bible says that God gave me a measure of faith. That means he handed me, I hate that I left my book bag upstairs and I left my Bible in it because I have all my notes. Who's got a Bible? That's a strange thing to ask in a church. All right. Thank you, sister. I'm going to hand it right back to you. When God gave me a measure of faith, he said, here, everything in that you have, now believe in it. Everything in it. So he gave me a measure of faith. And that measure of faith is bound to what's in that word. And if I rightly divide and interpret that word, I have faith of God in God that flows through God in me. Amen? Amen? Y'all holding on to that? Okay, I'm gonna get there. And, whew, praise the Lord. So one of the things I look at is that This is what the Bible calls the word of faith. Now a whole denomination was formed out of that word in scripture in Romans 10 and eight. A whole denomination of people was formed off that phrase. But what we want to look at today is what is the word of faith? What does this actually mean for us as New Testament, New Covenant believers? So that we may understand the balance of faith and grace. Are you with me? Amen? Is this good so far? I haven't even got it started yet. So not just, the word of faith phrase is a principle that governs the life of every true believer in Christ. It's not a denominational movement. Sorry to say it. Amen? It's about aligning your entire life with what God has already said and walking in trust, confidence, and obedience to his voice. Amen? Is this good? Okay, I like it. I'm gonna like what I preach today, praise the Lord. So, Paul describes it like this in Romans 10 and eight. Let's read that scripture together. Jeremy, are you there with me? All right. But what does it say? The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart. That word, that is the word of faith which we preach. So what do we say? That word is near you. That word is in you. That word is in your mouth and in your heart, and that is the word that we preach. Amen? So this is not about the cliches that you say. This is not the intensity in which you say it. This is not about how much you say it. This is about is it in you and when you say it, do you believe it enough to know that God's gonna do it? Amen? It's like this. I look at people that have authority but don't understand that authority, they're loud. They come into a room of people like, you ever had a bad boss? Just an angry boss. Everybody's had an angry boss. You might be that angry boss. We're praying for you. And they come in, why didn't everybody just do what I say? Well, because you're not being clear in what you say. Amen? And so why didn't people, well, do you actually know the authority that you walk in? See, a boss, I look at the authority that a policeman has. A semi truck, a bus, a boat. Crowds of people will stop when a police officer goes. I'm like, there's no effort in it. They just put their hand up. Waved that lane, moved. They don't have to go . There's no effort in it. There's complete peace. There's complete rest. They understand their authority. They understand the power of their badge. They understand the power of their position. They understand that people understand who they are and they will obey. Can I tell you something? When you have great faith in Christ Jesus, all hell will stop and all heaven will move when you use your words. That is the grace of God that's on you. Amen? Just come on somebody. I'm already excited. The word of faith is a message that God promises fulfilled in Jesus made alive through the Holy Spirit. It's accessible through scripture. In the gospel, God speaks, we believe, we respond, and we are transformed. God speaks, we believe, we respond, we are transformed. See, faith has a response. It doesn't have a reaction. When you see somebody saying, I'm about to take a leap of faith, but I'm not sure which direction I'm supposed to go in, and they look like they're just doing a little tug-of-war dance, and they're all anxious, they're not in faith, they're in emotion. They're in anxiety. They actually don't even know what they're supposed to do. But someone that is in faith with God, they're moving with great confidence. They're moving with great power. They're moving with stillness. It's a dance. It's a ballet. It's clear. That's what faith in grace looks like. Amen? Does this make sense this morning? Is this clearing up anything? This is good. This ain't a whole lot of do nothing. There's a whole lot of believing in and responding to. Faith is not a theoretical thing. It's not a, if I do this, I'll get that, and if I say this. See, even when you declare and pray and intercede, if you have faith in those actions, you're gonna get nothing. But if you have faith in the relationship, the faith of God, faith in God, you're gonna receive everything. For them that believe, all things are possible. Belief is displayed experience, knowing that in this moment, what may or may not happen again. I believe that God can. I believe that God knows. I believe that God will, and I'm gonna trust anyway. Amen? That's what faith looks like. Faith is a strong confidence and expectation of good even when nothing looks good. Is this good? Now look at your neighbor and say, you know what? I have faith. Amen. This is not a theoretical experience. This is a relational experience. It's a response to a person, Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh, John 1, 14. It's trust not only in what he said, but in who he is. And faith, in the Bible says, comes by hearing, and guess what? It comes by continually hearing. You don't just hear one time and say, right, I got it. Listen, I ain't gonna follow somebody into a war that shot a gun just one time. I want to know that you know, that you know how to fire that gun. I want to know that you know how to clear a jam. I want to know that you know how to reload that gun. I want to know that you have experience in that, amen? Come on, somebody. So faith is not just hearing one time and saying, yep, that's what I should believe. I'm going to stand firm on that. This is what holiness is. That's what purity is. You know what you are? Religious. When you stand firm on one doctrine, you become dogmatic and religious. But if you let your faith be progressional revelation, you are walking with God like Adam used to do in the garden in the sweet cool of the day, having discussions and learning and having things revealed to you because you have faith that you have the right to even talk to God. Amen? Is this good? So when I look at this, many believers think faith is something, let's look at Romans 10 and 17. Many believers think that faith is something we either have or we don't. So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. It comes by hearing and continually hearing God's word. When you consistently take in the truth of scripture, it begins to reshape thinking, renew your heart and quiet. You just begin to get all good. I can think about going to the gym all day long. I can talk about the gym all day long. I can have the little gym cliches all day long. I can talk about everything about the gym. But if I don't go to the gym, nothing's gonna change in my life. So you can talk about the word all day. You can go to church every Sunday. You can read your little devotional in your Bible app every day. But if you don't actually start applying it, to your life, activating it in your life, speaking it in your life. You ain't gonna get nothing out of it. I got grace. I got Jesus. I got the favor of God. Well, hallelujah, what you doing with it? Amen? Are you walking in it by faith? Amen? You know, the gym context came in because somebody talked about the gym when they came in the door and said, sorry, that was just good. Thanks for that, brother. I really appreciate it. But we can, if we don't get, you know, I need to go to the gym, but if we don't get in the gym, ain't nothing gonna change. The only fight we have is the fight of faith. The only thing we have to do is believe. Listen, just like a police officer, walk in your authority by faith and grace and watch how restful and peaceful life is without all the anger and all the pushiness and all the fussing and all the bulldog faces. Just relax and walk in your authority. Yeah. I remember one time we were having a birthday party for one of the kids, can't remember which one, it was a long time ago. I mean, when one of them was little. And Tina was like, it's gonna rain, their birthday parties are gonna be ruined. And I'm like, now y'all think I'm gonna tell some story like I said, now, peace be still, storm. That's not the story I'm gonna tell. And I was like, oh, Tina, don't worry about it. You know, it's gonna be all right. And then, you know, it's gonna be terrible. And we had all these decorations and everything because we were really trying to focus on the kids in this time in life. And then the rain came. Shit, it's all ruined. You know what the kids did? They went and splashed in mud puddles, ran around and threw mud at each other. They had so much fun. And it was the best birthday party they had. You know what? We both looked at each other. With all our planning, with all we're doing, it was still fun. And trust me, it was when they were like two and three. You know, it's because we don't allow them to get dirty. We can't afford clothes, so I'm sure they don't even like, they probably going, I don't know, what's he talking about? It was when they were little, but we'd get them these Christmas presents and they'd play with the boxes. All the intention that you put on the things you think matter don't matter a hill of beans to heaven, God, or even the devil. Have faith in the word of God, amen? Have faith in the word of God and walk and rest in peace with grace. Amen. Keep hearing the word of God and let it be fuel to your faith. So when I was talking to Tina, what we learned from that is we learned how to respond instead of react. Amen. Matthew 4 and 4 explains to us what is the fuel for our lives. But he answered and said, it is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. This is Jesus' response to Satan when he's trying to tempt him. And Jesus' response, the word made flesh was, let us live by, I may be physically hungry, but let us live by every word that comes out of God's mouth. Amen. Amen. We need to realize that the Word and the right alignment and interpretation of the Word brings rest and peace and fuel to our lives. If you're in the Word and you're starting to get anxious and thinking all the things you need to do and you're getting unsettled, you're still in the flesh. Amen? Amen? The word should bring peace, wisdom, and direction. So just as our bodies need fuel daily, our spirits need the word of God daily. Is your spirit now malnourished? You know, I began to think this week how much I live off my wife's faith. And with her being in the U.S., I began to feel weak in faith. And I was like, man, I didn't realize how much Tina just being in the house and quoting scriptures and being positive and being a little butterfly floating around making everybody happy. How good that is for my life until the person that represented that was not present. And I said, oh my Jesus, I gotta eat for myself. I better get it. I better actually, I guess I better listen to a podcast. I better get in the word and start filling myself up. I learned that I miss my wife, but I also learned that the word and that faith in the word and that grace and those kind words being spoken around me was fuel. Amen. If you're wondering what's going on in your life, maybe listen to what's being said around you and decide whether you're going to keep listening. Amen? Because if it's not words of faith, praise the Lord, I'm going to leave that with you. Too often, we echo the voices of doubt, fear, and pain in Proverbs 18 and 21. It reminds us that death and life is in the power of the tongue. Now, I used to be afraid of that. You know, well, you shouldn't say that. Like the devil just waiting for me to mess up and say something so he can come in my door. You know, God's bigger than my words. Amen? So when I get emotional, when I get angry, when I say things or think things I shouldn't, God provides a Christian to come around me, to encourage me, and then he also provides the Holy Spirit to convict me so I change my words so that my life doesn't start lining up with my words. Amen? But maybe you should realize if we go back to that scripture, it says the word is in me and it's in my mouth from my heart. The word is in me, it's in my mouth from my heart. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. What you're putting in you is gonna come out of your mouth. So if you start listening to yourself and listen to what's coming out of your mouth, hate for the church, hate for pastors, hate for Christians, hate for this, hate for the world, hate for Israel, hate for Pakistan, hate for everything else, you're listening to Instagram way too dang much. You let influencers influence you. Amen? So listen to Jesus more. Amen? Follow Jesus. It's just that simple. When anxiety strikes, I will not be anxious. The peace of God guards my heart. Philippians 4, 6 through 7. Where fear whispers, God has not given me the spirit of fear. 2 Timothy 1 and 7. When you're weary, the Lord is my strength and my song. Exodus 15, 2. I love Josiah so much. Where is he at? Upstairs. I can't even pick on him, but I'm going to pick on him anyway. I'm actually not going to pick on him. he'll start singing Christian songs through the house. And if I'm in a bad mood, my flesh responds with, can you just, I'm trying to think. And he'll just get louder. I'm not even gonna, I'm not even gonna imitate him, because this is absolutely a cut cat in a wind storm, but he actually sings really good, I'm just kidding. He's actually began to sing really well. I've been starting to get really impressed. And he'll just sing louder, and I'm like, you're just, well, all right. That song in his spirit being sung in the house is pushing back, I didn't realize that that song in his spirit was actually pushing back my bad attitude. You understand what I'm saying? Sometimes if you've got a problem with people's good attitude, you might just have a bad attitude. Wow, that's rocket science. Sometimes you're getting angry so much because people ain't angry, maybe you're just angry. Faith will change all that. The word of God will change. Well, I just can't get in the word and I just can't pray. Man, I used to say that too. I used to say to Tina, when she'd start quoting scriptures and being positive and being like a little butterfly, I'd be like, you're just being religious. I actually realized she wasn't being religious, she was being a believer. Amen? And I realized that I wanted to stay in my bad attitude. I wanted to stay in my bad moment. And I realized that if I want to walk by faith, I got to actually arrest my bad attitude. If I want to walk and respond in faith, I got to actually arrest my behavior. I've got to arrest what I'm thinking. And it doesn't mean I get mad at myself for what I'm thinking. I just simply go, why am I thinking that? If I need to go talk to somebody, I talk to somebody. Amen? The Word is powerful. It speaks to us. But here's the most beautiful part about it all. You ready? You ready? You ready? Okay, Jesus is our breakthrough. Wow. Such rocket science. Jesus is our breakthrough. Faith is in his finished work. Faith responds to the person Jesus. Well, that sounds really good. Let's just put it in a word before Jesus even came. The representative of God spoke to a Shunammite woman about her son. He gave a word from God about her son. Right? You know this story in the Bible. Her son then fell dead from the heat of the day. So what did she do? Oh my God, no. What did she do? She walked into the prophet's chambers. Laid him down. She walked out of there, walked past the servants. How you doing? All is well. Faith was responding to the word of God. Every person she passed, all is well. Faith was responding to the word of God. She gets the prophet, and this is where it gets fun for me. I'm just gonna translate it into cow language. I thought you said, and the prophet said I did. Let me come to the house and just see what we gotta do. He comes and goes, huh, yep, he's dead. But that's not what God said. Sometimes what's a physical representation in front of you needs to align with the revelation of the word of God, and you need to stand firm in that. So the prophet did what he did, and the boy rose, came alive, and all is well. Sometimes when God speaks and things don't happen the way they're supposed to, that shouldn't shake your faith. You should say, but you said God. That was a bit loud and yelly, huh? Sound like one of them angry preachers. but God said. Jesus is our breakthrough. 1 Corinthians 15, 57. Faith responds to Jesus. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego responded to God. We respond to Jesus. But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank the Lord. Thanks be to God who... has victory on its way. Thank the Lord for victory that may come. Thank the Lord for what may happen. That is not what that says. It says we give thanks to God who gives us the victory. So does that mean that all my faith working, that all my strong declarations and loud prayers and slinging oil everywhere is doing a thing? Let me tell you a story about Jesus is our breakthrough. I used to be in deliverance ministry for eight years. You ever seen deliverance? Lord, really, my time has already passed. Have you ever seen deliverance? Some of you never have because, see, the devil doesn't have to work hard anymore. He doesn't actually have to make you scared anymore because people just don't believe. It's like, you know. Why have demons manifest? Why do it? So deliverance ministry was on the decline, but I had this woman, she was about your age, and she was very, she was small and skinny. And I mean, she must have weighed like 40 pounds, dripping wet. And her boyfriend had brought her there and said, Pastor Kyle, she needs deliverance. I thought, she's just nice and sweet. We started speaking words, she started manifesting. And all these people started like, and she was slinging four of us around. I mean, she's little, and I'm not small. And she was slinging me around like a rag doll. And I said, man, this is not the type of power that a normal human has. And everybody's yelling. And this one lady, she goes, she's on her phone. I was like, back then it was like a little Blackberry. And she was looking up scripture. in something. It was like actually one of those things you can buy that has scriptures. I got the word, but I don't know the address. And I was like, just say the word. You do not need to know the address right now. I mean, that's like a Marine going, serial number, 115-672-2233, bam, bam, bam, bam. No, shoot the gun. So she said the word, and then God hit me with a revelation. She doesn't know me. Been a Christian, in church, heard all these things. Doesn't know me. And I was like, all right, well. I said, hey, do you wanna know Jesus? Manifest, I said, no, no, no, all you be still in the name of Jesus. I wanna speak to this girl. Do you know Jesus? No. Do you want all this to stop? Yes. Say this with me, Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and I wish to be saved and delivered from all the sins of my life. She repeated those words. There was no vomiting. There was no, no fight, no struggle. Like all the struggles I'd seen before. Light just came into her eyes and she became one of the most sound Christians I'd ever met. Deliverance came by the power of Jesus. And the faith in Jesus. Salvation came through Jesus. Jesus is the finished work. The heart of a Christian faith is not what we can achieve. It's what he's already accomplished in having faith in that. Amen? Does that make sense? We don't strive for victory. We stand in it. You ever been walking off the field and shaking the hands of your opponent and they still acting like they trying to beat you or win? No, they just shake hands. Good game. We lost. You won. We are standing in the victory of God. Jesus has become our breakthrough, our champion, and our way maker. Amen. Sin no longer defines you. Ephesians 1 and 7. Have faith in the fact that you are redeemed. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace. I used to have the patriot mentality. You remember that Mel Gibson movie? Some of y'all are too Christian to even watch movies. That's all right. But back when I was watching movies, and I still do, and I still do. But back when I was watching movies and I had Mel Gibson with the Patriot, there was this really moving scene where he's like, and the sins of my past have come to, and his sons died and all this. And I used to think all the time that my sins were going to come back and just wreck my family. But Ephesians 1 and 7 simply says, in him we have redemption through the blood. Forgiveness of sins according to the riches of grace. Do you know that the enemy is trying to remind you of your past to get a foothold in your life? Have faith that you've been redeemed. You just don't know what I've done. You don't know what I've done. But I have faith in redemption. I am forgiven. I am forgivable. Amen? I'm not going to tell you that story. Praise the Lord. I don't need to prove myself to you about how evil I used to be. I'm just good. Amen. I don't need to give the devil no credit. Let's give Jesus all the credit. Amen. Amen. Fear no longer controls you. 2 Timothy 1 and 7. God has not given you a spirit of fear or of power and love and a sound mind. So why do I get afraid? Well, because you've stopped looking in Jesus. You've stopped working through Jesus. You've stopped operating in the word and you've started listening to all the naysayers in your life and what may happen and all the what ifs and all the ungrounded fear and the next thing you know when you're not in faith, you're in yourself and you're trying to figure out how to fix it all and when it all fell you gotta return to faith well my Bible says that they must return to their first works yeah they should get back in faith get back in faith get back in grace get back in the right get back in your right standing with God not by your action by simply saying I'm redeemed I'm redeemed oh I gotta remember I'm redeemed I'm forgiven and watch what changes when you ain't trying to work to get there Amen? When you're trying to show everybody else that you've stopped sinning, when you're, anyway, I've just been doing ministry for too long. When you've been trying to show everybody that you're really hitting it and you're really in it, no, man, that's not faith. That's just you trying to make everybody else believe you are. When you stop worrying about everybody else and it's just you and God, that's when faith really begins to move in your life. Amen? Death no longer defeats you, 2 Timothy 1 and 10. He has a, let's go there, I wanna read this, 2 Timothy 1 and 10. Death no longer defeats you, but has now been revealed by the appearing of the Savior Jesus Christ who has abolished death and brought life and mortality to light through the gospel. I have faith that if I leave this world It's not just gonna be a black existence, the end of the dream. I believe I'm gonna wake up in glory. So therefore I will not feel the sting of death. I will simply just transition. I used to say all the time, when I was in Greenville ministering, I had a few guns pulled on me as an evangelist, and I said, I actually had a gun pulled on me at church. Now, I will tell you that story. That's just America for you. Y'all don't get to experience that here. I love y'all so much. The assistant pastor, man, he was a strong soldier in the Lord. Let me tell you what, when they showed up with a gun in the parking lot, he came in there and said, Pastor, there's somebody out there that wants to see you. I said, oh, really? Could you not have handled that? So I walk out there, and this old boy, I won't turn my back to you, this old boy, he's sitting there. Now, what he'd gotten mad about is because his wife had gotten saved, and she was no longer drinking, and she was living a correct life, and he was mad that he lost his drinking partner. So he shows, sound hillbilly enough to you? So he shows up, and I mean this is a great story, we're gonna make a movie one day. He shows up and he drops this like .357 Dirty Harry gun, clank, on his truck. Pointing right at me, and I'm talking about like here to here. And he's saved now, and I've told this story a hundred times with him sitting in the congregation. I said, well Frank, I'm gonna tell you something, you're gonna have no victory here. He said, what you mean? I come here to kill you. I said, oh you might end this body. but you won't end this life. You only send me to better places and the pain you want to cause me is just, you're actually gonna cause me joy. You're actually gonna help, I'm ready to go. Pull the trigger, Frank. That's his old American stupidity. I look back on it now saying, boy, you were stupid. I had faith though. I said, but I tell you what, Frank, if you want to see your life change, You want to see better days ahead of you and you want to stop being in pain, you want to stop feeling lonely, you put that gun in the passenger seat, come in here and listen to this word I got for you today and I bet your life will change. He put it in reverse, I made sure he left the gun in the car. Walked inside with him, everybody was scared, don't be scared, we about to have a revival. Preached, him, his cousins, and everybody in that family came forward to get saved because Frank came to church. and Frank got saved. What does that mean? You don't have to be afraid of this world and all that it will throw at you. Have faith. You are, if God be for you. We say that so much in church, but do we really believe it? Is this good today? Amen. Faith responds to Jesus. While breakthrough comes through Christ alone, we access it by faith, not by works. Faith is our response of trust in God and his finished works. Ephesians 2 and 8 says, by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Faith says, even if I don't feel free, I believe I am because Jesus said so. That's what faith says. Even when I don't see healing yet, I trust that by his stripes I am healed. Isaiah 53 and 5. See, I'm not fighting for victory. I'm fighting in victory. Does that make sense? Come on, somebody. God is so good. Even when I don't understand, I rest in the victory of Christ who has already won. This is not a striving to earn God's blessing. It's a standing in what he has already given and walking forward in trust. Not arrogance. Trust. I've met some arrogant Christians. Well, you just don't know what my God said and what I have. I got 52 favors of flavor and I tell you what, if I get anything less than that, I'm walking away from it. That's not faith, that's arrogance. God's not looking for arrogant Christians. He's looking for believing Christians. And if you believe in Christ, you will walk as Christ and you will love more efficiently. I'll preach that next week. Faith still moves us. 2 Corinthians 5 and 7, we walk by faith, not by sight. Romans 1 and 17, the just shall live by faith. So yes, we obey, but not to earn anything. We obey because faith in Jesus makes us alive, and the natural response to life is to trust and surrender. Why the word of faith matters to us today and how to walk in faith? We live in an age of fear, doubt, and distraction where it's easy to be influenced. Matthew 24 and 35 says heaven and earth will pass away but the word of God will still by no means pass. Stand in trials because God is faithful, 1 Corinthians 10 and 13. Pray with confidence because his promises are sure, 1 John 5, 14 through 15. If you want my notes, I'll give them to you. Live with purpose because his calling is irrevocable, Romans 11 and 29, for the call of God is without repentance. Walk in peace because his spirit dwells in you, Romans 8 and 11. This is not a theology, it is a way of life. Faith is no longer an option. Faith is something that is now necessary. Faith is not something we choose when it's bad. Faith is something we live in. And it's faith in grace. Faith through Christ. Faith through grace. Faith in the righteousness that we now have. Faith in the holiness that we now have. Not because our, we're not holy because of what we do. We're holy because of what he's done. We're not righteous because we did right, we're righteous because of his righteousness. Amen? You only look holy because you walk in obedience by faith. But you can't even obey well. Amen? True? You are a living sacrifice. Now see, a dead sacrifice, this gets flopped on there, it's dead, it's done. You are a living sacrifice. That means you always trying to crawl off. Amen? And you always having return going, I'm here, I'm here. I surrender. How do we live a word of faith lifestyle? Feed ourselves. I just like Netflix. Hey, I get it. It's easy. Turn on the TV, fall asleep on the couch. Feed yourself with the word of God if you wanna walk in faith. Feed yourself the word how you feed yourself. Some of you gonna walk away from here and be like, all right, we gotta get in the word. You're gonna try and tell your partner, all right, we're gonna read devotionals every day. No, no, no, no, no. You get in the Word. Let them find their way to get in the Word because they may get in the Bible. They may get in the podcast. You may get in the podcast. They may get in the article. But whatever way, get in the Word. Whatever inspires you to get deeper in the Word, feed yourself. That's how you walk daily in faith. Speak the Word boldly. Psalms 107 and two, let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Obey promptly. James one and 22, be doers of the word, not just hearers. I went to the doctor not too long ago. And he said, you're gonna have to change some things. And everything he wanted me to change, I like. Bread. I mean, me and bread, I could just eat bread. No mayonnaise, no cheese, no nothing, just bread. Me and bread, we just have a love for each other. Now me, bread and peanut butter. But he said, you gotta stop eating these things. I said, how dare you, sir? How dare you tell me that the word of God cannot make these things alive in me? He said, you also gotta get off sugar. Because you're becoming type two diabetic. I believe in the report of the Lord. I do though, actually. But I also know I need to use wisdom and get off sugar. Because when you get so used to eating poorly and how you feed yourself, now watch this, you get so used to how poorly you're feeding yourself, it starts to manifest in your life. You wonder why life is spiritually so hard. Look at how you're feeding yourself. You wonder why things ain't going your way? Look at how you're feeding yourself. Surrender yourself with faith builders. Hebrews 13 and 13 says, encourage one another daily so that none of you may be hardened by sins and deceitfulness. Hold fast. God is faithful. Last week, we talked about trust anyway. This week, we talked about how to walk in faith, the word of faith, and how to apply it properly and not become religious. Can I tell you something? Now, this is not correction. I'm gonna say this with a smile on my face. Stop telling people what they should and shouldn't do and what they should and shouldn't think. You start walking in faith, and your life being an example of faith They might just start asking you questions about what they need to do versus you telling them what to do because you actually haven't done it yet. Amen? Where's Aiden at? I'm going to compliment him, but anyway, you're here, Grace. It's all right. Grace, you're here. Aiden, when we were hanging out with y'all and others the other night and Aiden was sitting there, he was looking buff. He is buff, hey, that's your husband. She's like, he is buff. He was looking a proper fit. I'm talking about you, man. You know what I thought? I didn't say it to him, I'm gonna say it to him now in front of a crowd, because I'm humbling myself. I thought I'd work out with that dude, because I might actually receive results. But then this thought came to my head, but then you're gonna have to stop eating first. But when you see someone walking in a result, it makes them hungry for that result. Can I tell you something? Christianity doesn't make me hungry for Christ. Bunch of complainers and whiners. Mad bulldogs pointing out everybody else's sin. Well, did you see what sister so-and-so was wearing? She needs to get that skirt a little lower. She's causing all the men to sin. Amen. Listen, those midriffs on the worship team, they come up a little bit higher. And make sure you have no sleeveless shirts. Honey, can I tell you, if an armpit turns you on, you need prayer. If a kneecap looks good to you, you need prayer. And if you got a problem with those two things, you definitely got a problem and you need to get out of watching some things you shouldn't be watching and I'll be praying for you, amen. Christianity should be attractive. When Christ was walking, what did the two people, and I'm gonna end here, what did the two people do when they came to Christ and John said, you go ahead, you go follow him after he's baptized. You go ahead. And they came to him and to summarize it and everything else, they just said, you make the word come alive. Right? It feels good when you say it. And people following him by the drove because there was results. You want results in your life? Get all the toxic stuff out of your life. Amen? I want to pray for you, Father. It's not that our faith needs to grow. It's that we need to take hold of the faith we have, the faith we've heard, the faith we've preached, the faith we've been taught. We need to take hold of the truth of the word of God. So, Father, in this day, let faith come forward where feelings and fear have been driving my life. Let faith come forward where doubt and worry have been causing me to second guess everything in my life. Let faith come forward to give me direction where I've been wondering which path I should take because there's so much opportunity out there. Let me see and hear and be guided by the faith I have to know that I have a comforter. The faith that I know that I have the Holy Spirit. That I'm not walking in confusion. I'm not walking in spiritual blindness. But I'm walking in the faith of God, in God, by grace. In faith. It's in Jesus' name I pray. We all say, amen. Amen? Every head bowed. Every eye closed. One more time. Just giving y'all a little neck workout. Is there anybody here that doesn't know Jesus? Every head bowed, every eye closed. Let's just honor each other. Is there anybody here that doesn't know Jesus? If you don't know him, I'd like to just introduce you to him. It's real simple. It's a prayer. But if you do know him, and even if you're listening by podcast, all you've got to simply say is say this little prayer with me. Father, let's all say it together. Father, I thank you for sending your son Jesus as my redemption. I receive him now, and I repent. I turn away from. I have a change of heart and mind of my former life, and I now want to follow you. Let your Holy Spirit guide me for the rest of the days of my life. It's in Jesus' name I pray. Amen. Amen? Thank you for tuning in to today's message.
