Everyone sees the platform. But what about the life no one sees? Built on Matthew 6:6, this message walks through three things sitting inside one verse — the room, the Father, the seeing — then answers why the door is open at all: a veil torn from top to bottom, tetelestai, access purchased. Secondhand revelation cannot sustain a firsthand life. The shut door was never about letting God in; it was about shutting the noise out. Stillness is the doorway. You don't start the meeting. You join it. Build a life that no one sees.

[00:00:00] Welcome to the World Changers Church Gold Coast Podcast. Join us as we listen to today's message. [00:00:10] So I have a really unorthodox message this morning. We're in a finished series. Amen. We're in this series and yes, we do series here at World Changers because we are ascending church and we believe in Ephesians 4:12 to equip people that they actually know their Word. Isn't that a strange thing that you actually know your word? He just has too many scriptures. Doesn't leave room for the spirit. [00:00:33] Well, how can the spirit move if you ain't operating in the Word? And how can the Word work if you ain't operating in the Spirit? They work together. Truth and spirit. Amen. [00:00:43] Amen. All right, so I'm going to talk about the life no one sees this morning. [00:00:50] When it comes to a finished work. [00:00:53] Everyone sees the pulpit, they see the worship stage, they see the prayer room, they see the kids go up and down. They see what Jeremy does, they see what Tina does, they see what the leaders do. But what about the life no one sees? [00:01:09] And I wanna talk about what that life looks like. So somewhere this week, last night, even around 11:30 maybe, a phone finally died. [00:01:21] You know, it went flat. [00:01:24] It never planned on quitting, it just did because you forgot to charge it. [00:01:29] But here's the funny part, but from five, around five for some of you that get up that early, maybe 8 o' clock for the rest of you, from about 5:00am, that thing has been working. From the worship in the kitchen to the worship music in the M1, to the podcast on the break, to the sermon that you listen to at lunch, to on the way home, those voice notes that you made about the revelations you got from the last five preachers you were listening to, to, you know, getting there, to the last podcast while in the kitchen, and then you decided to get boogie down worship while you were cleaning the dishes. And then finally, somewhere after all that, the phone finally died and God started speaking. [00:02:13] Because all those things are not wrong. [00:02:16] They were great about talking about God, but did you invite God in? [00:02:25] Amen. [00:02:27] Because that voice note from that podcast is just someone else's opinion and someone's revelation. So you know what they call all that if you build your life off of it? They call that secondhand. [00:02:39] Until you actually build a life that no one sees and build from a revelation that comes from God with you, you're actually building off a secondhand, an information transfer. You need to act when it's finished. You have the ability to not have to just go and wait for the priest to make your sacrifice, to know that you're good. You can pray for yourself. Amen. [00:03:01] You can lay hands on yourself. Amen. [00:03:04] Hey, Macarena. Hey. No. But you can do all these things now because of what Jesus finished. But we're still operating like we're waiting on someone to do something. And we keep filling our minds with activities that invite other things, voices in. But when the phone finally dies, God begins to talk. [00:03:26] Is that amazing? Is it true? [00:03:30] Because when the battery gave out, the house went dark. And for the first 18 hours, there was no voice in the room. But now it's just quiet. And that quiet. In that quiet, something rose up in that quiet. Halfway between the sigh and the sentence of like, I can't believe. I can't believe I didn't charge my phone. [00:03:50] They began a prayer that wasn't planned. [00:03:53] There began a moment where the TV couldn't feel it. There was no more scrolling to get the mind active. There was a moment where God could just speak. [00:04:05] Those are the moments. We need to be seeking that secret place. Because Jesus talked about what happens when the noise stops. [00:04:14] Do you realize that the enemy is really good at keeping you busy with good things? [00:04:19] Do you realize that the enemy is really good at you being. Keeping you busy being a good person for God, but not spending good time with God. [00:04:29] Boy, I'm really. Y' all mad at me already. [00:04:33] I ain't your cookie jar yet. [00:04:35] We just in the intro. Amen. [00:04:38] All right, so Jesus said in Matthew 6, 6. Let's look at this. [00:04:42] But you, when you pray, go into a room. And when you have shut the door, pray to your Father, who is in the secret place. And your Father, who sees you in secret, will reward you openly. [00:04:54] He said when you pray, not if notice something, you don't go into a room to find God. [00:05:05] If you are in Christ, his spirit is already in your heart. The shut door is never about letting God in. [00:05:12] It's about shutting the noise out. [00:05:15] That makes sense. [00:05:17] Amen. Does that make sense? Until you're still enough to meet with the One who has been with you since 5am You've talked about him, you've talked to him, you've been busy about Him. [00:05:32] But now you're in a quiet place where all the noise stops. [00:05:37] Last week we said you don't lay a foundation. You put your weight and lean on what's already been laid. You're not responsible for building the foundation. He already laid the foundation to support the weight of your Life. [00:05:50] This week we want to talk about what you're building. Does that make sense? This week we're going to go into the room deeper. The most important part of your life is the part no one sees. [00:06:01] Amen. [00:06:03] Amen. Yes. Praise the Lord. Jody knows what I'm talking about. [00:06:07] And the door to that room is already open. [00:06:17] Aren't y' all happy there's life in this church? [00:06:19] You know how many churches would be begging for children to be in their children's church? [00:06:24] Any of y' all getting mad at that? I want to talk to you afterwards and lay hands on you. [00:06:34] Before we go anywhere else this morning, I want to slow right down and sit inside this one verse, so leave it up there. The rest of the sermon is just unpacking this. Look at this again with me. Let's break it down line by line. Let's break it down moment by moment. Three things are sitting in this verse, and every one of them is good for us to see. [00:06:57] First, the room. [00:07:02] First the room. [00:07:05] Hear me on this. Don't get distracted. The word Jesus used meant an ordinary room. [00:07:11] He chose a closet, a storeroom, to make this representation the most unimpressive room in the house. [00:07:21] Not a temple, not a platform, not a mountain. A door you can shut, which means whatever you have qualifies. [00:07:31] If you have a parked car at a lunch break, you're in a secret place. [00:07:37] Amen. [00:07:39] That's not holy enough. That's not reverent enough. [00:07:44] I just told you earlier that the reverence, the holiness comes from Kadesh. [00:07:49] That holy that we talk about from the word Kadesh means. Holy means set apart. [00:07:55] Meaning that you have set apart to be set apart with Him. [00:08:00] Holy is not what you think it is. [00:08:04] You think holy is you shining bright with the gold dust and fairy wings of Jesus. [00:08:09] You think holy is how religious you are, how much you pray, what you say, how you challenge people, what you believe, how much scripture you know. That's not holiness. [00:08:19] Holiness is knowing that he is the one true God and you are his people. [00:08:24] Amen. [00:08:26] Well, what about Matthew 5:48? [00:08:29] Be therefore holy as your Father is holy in heaven. Okay. Know your language. [00:08:35] Greek word for Holy in Matthew 5:48 is teleos. It means be spiritually mature as your Father in heaven. Is spiritually mature. Different. Holy. [00:08:45] Grow up is what that Scripture is saying. [00:08:50] Grow up and be mature so you can engage with a mature God. Be set apart to recognize and be reverent to a God that is set apart for you because you are his people now as he is mature. Be in likeness with him so that you can be mature in spirit and be skilled in righteousness. Amen. [00:09:13] Amen. [00:09:16] The room, not a platform, not a mountain. [00:09:19] Second, let's look at what Jesus calls him. Your father who is in the secret place. Hold your theology steady here. [00:09:26] I don't have theology. Yes, you do. You just don't know it. [00:09:30] Because Jesus is not saying God lives in your spare room and nowhere else. God is always present and always approachable. If you're in Christ, his spirit is not merely near you, it's in you. [00:09:45] You mean when I was watching that on my phone in the bathroom, he was with me? Sure was. [00:09:52] You mean when I was drinking that he was with me? Sure was. You mean when I was having that conversation, he was with me? Yes. [00:10:01] Everything in secret and in dark, he sees in light. [00:10:04] You hide nothing from the Lord because he's with you. He's like your little spy. [00:10:09] Amen. He sees everything even when nobody else does. [00:10:17] So let's look at this. [00:10:19] Galatians 4, 6. [00:10:22] And because you are sons and daughters, God has sent forth the spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying out, abba, Father, I need to go to this prayer meeting tonight. [00:10:35] Ooh, there's somebody coming from America. He's gonna bring the anointing to Australia. [00:10:40] How many times y' all heard that? He's coming from Zimbabwe bringing the raising a dead anointing. [00:10:47] The prayer meeting is already started in you. [00:10:52] You're not starting a prayer meeting. And then God goes, okay, Kyle started. And it's time to for us, all of heaven rise. And we're. No, heaven never stops. [00:11:03] You just stop and are still and enter into what is happening in heaven. [00:11:11] Amen. [00:11:12] You don't start a prayer meeting. You take time to be in prayer. [00:11:17] Does that make sense? [00:11:19] And the spirit of God in you is crying out, abba, Father. [00:11:24] And at the right hand is Jesus, always lives in intercession for you. Hebrews 7:25, Hebrews. Heaven's side of the meeting never stops. [00:11:35] Well, did the Lord hear me? The Lord was praying for you before you ever thought to talk to him. [00:11:41] He's in constant intercession for you with the Father. And when you don't know what to pray, the Holy Spirit is giving utterance to that. [00:11:50] So how do we fail? [00:11:52] We don't build a private life with Jesus. [00:11:59] We build everything on what people see. [00:12:03] We build everything on that moment when I love what I did to Jake this morning, I get up here to pray. He didn't have nothing to do this Morning I looked at him and said, you want to pray? He's like. [00:12:14] You could see his whole stomach drop. [00:12:17] But he got up here and prayed. I love that stuff. You know why? Because what's in you comes out. [00:12:23] And I know what's in him. [00:12:25] Amen. [00:12:29] Come on, somebody. [00:12:32] So, which means the secret place is not you getting God to show up. [00:12:41] It's you showing up. [00:12:43] It's you being still enough to enter what has been running the whole time, it is finished. Means that we have permanent access. [00:12:55] Do you know what it was like before? [00:12:57] Some dude with 12 jewels on his chest, looking really funny, looking like a bad Halloween costume with a rope with bells, would walk in there and give prayers and talk to the Lord. And if he was not holy, if he was not sin free, they would have. The presence of God would kill him. And that rope was to pull him out of the presence of God. [00:13:19] Does that make sense? [00:13:22] I don't see us having to do that. It says, enter in boldly to the throne of God, seeking out mercy in times of need. We have access 24 7. [00:13:34] When I was ODing on the bathroom floor before I was even saved, guess what was giving me the ability to talk to God? My grandmother's prayers. [00:13:43] When I said, God, I don't know if you're real, but don't let my mama find me like this. That was my grandmother I was talking about. Anybody ever had a grandmother like your mama? Amen. [00:13:52] I said, please don't let her find me like this. Even dead. She'd raised me from the dead and beat me back to death. Amen. [00:13:58] That woman was beautiful and mean all at the same time. Praise God. Y' all know what I'm talking. Everybody praying, Grandmother? [00:14:07] Well, it was those prayers for me that gave me the ability and confidence to know that I could talk to God in my lowest moment. [00:14:21] Look at this. With me, Jesus showed up. [00:14:28] All you have to do is Psalms 46 and 10, be still and know that I am God. [00:14:38] I will be exalted among the nations, and I will be exalted in the earth. [00:14:43] You cannot stop the glory of God and his name being carried through all the earth like him, lump and hate him. [00:14:52] Trump has made some people mad in the world because he's made God Jesus the God of America again. [00:14:59] Amen. [00:15:01] I'm not here to preach American politics. I've been living in Australia for 10 years. Amen. I'm here to talk about kingdom. [00:15:08] But do you understand what I'm saying? When Jesus is made the center of everything again, you Cannot stop the glory of God. You can't stop it in your life. The only thing that stops it is the noise between your ears. [00:15:23] Amen. [00:15:24] That's the only thing that stops anything happening in your life. [00:15:30] Let's put it like this, Roger, I have a million dollars. Do you want it? [00:15:35] Yeah. Yeah. He puts his hand down immediately, right? [00:15:41] Puts it out immediately. Now, he doesn't actually know if I have a million dollars, but he said, well, if you got it, I want it. [00:15:47] God has all of heaven and its host for you, and we reserve ourselves from walking in what he's given us. [00:15:57] And you build that confidence, you build that life in private. [00:16:02] Amen. [00:16:03] You can come here and you can bow, bow bop. You can shout. You can. And the Lord said, you can be so spiritual and uber. And you can pray in tongues, man. You can even lay on hands and see God move through you and see healings happen. But if your private life isn't built right, it's just a show. [00:16:24] Well, this sounds condemning. No. [00:16:27] You've been given something precious. Set yourself apart to be a part of it. [00:16:34] The shut door in Matthew 6:6 was only ever shutting the noise out. Stillness is the doorway. When you stop, you do not start the meeting. You join it. [00:16:46] Amen. [00:16:48] You just join heaven. When you. You don't. When you pray, you're not moving God. You're moving yourself out of the way and saying, God, here I am. Send me God. Let your will be done, not mine, God. Whatever you will, you're receiving, not giving. [00:17:04] Most of us spend so much time telling God what we want, and he's just going, okay, okay, cool. You got that out yet? Because we got something for you. [00:17:11] Amen. [00:17:13] Be still before you utter your reaction prayer. Before you utter your anger, before you utter what your flesh is wanting to say to God. Stop. Be still. Enter in. Let the noise of your emotions, the noise of the world stop and just say, God, I'm here to hear what you have to say. [00:17:31] Amen. [00:17:38] Third is that he sees you in secret. [00:17:42] Nobody claps for your life. There's no social media likes. [00:17:49] There's no Facebook reels. [00:17:52] There's nobody standing there saying, good job for buying someone that coffee. Praise the Lord. Good job for paying for their groceries. Good job for being a good person. There's nobody commenting on that because it's not seen. [00:18:15] But Jesus says the Father sees it. [00:18:19] He said in one of his greatest sermons, he said, when you give someone a glass of water, you've done it unto me. [00:18:26] When you clothe someone that is naked You've done it unto me. When you visit someone in prison, you've done it unto me. Whatever you do for them, you do for me. [00:18:36] Did he say, whenever you give them a glass of water at the front podium, at the stage for the main speaker and back in the green room, did he say that? [00:18:46] I've been there, I've done that. [00:18:48] They say that when you stop and listen to the prophet who is holy, because they proclaim coming through the door that they're the prophet and that they're powerful and that they have an anointing and they're called to the nations that you receive a prophet's reward for giving them a glass of water. No, he said, when you give to someone that is thirsty, you've done it unto me. When you feed someone that is hungry, you've done it unto me. When you close someone that is naked. We do so much for the accolades and the performance ministry that we forget that everything is about being in his presence and operating from his presence. [00:19:24] Amen. [00:19:26] We get so caught up in the spiritual, emotional activity of it all that when good teaching happens, we're thinking, you know, it was just a little dry. I didn't feel the spirit, you know, the worship, it was. I just really didn't like the songs. It wasn't clicking right. I didn't know we were worshiping, you know, I didn't know I was up here teaching for you. [00:19:49] I'm teaching for him so that I may fulfill the call on my life, which is to equip the saints to go and do the good work so that they may be mature in the faith and be able to fulfill the spreading of the gospel. I'm not here to build you a Rama Shama service where you just get to roll around on the floor and say, whoo, new wine. Praise the Lord. [00:20:09] Praise God. Woo. And you don't even know nothing walking out the door. [00:20:14] You don't know one scripture, you don't know why, and you go out drinking because you are so stuck on the feeling and the dopamine that you don't get the life giving word in you that sustains you. [00:20:32] Praise God. [00:20:36] Amen. [00:20:37] Amen. [00:20:38] Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen. Amen. I have fun up here, guys. I don't know why we gotta be so stiff, David. Yeah. David called it a dwelling in the secret place of the highest and abiding under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalms 91 and 1. [00:21:00] Not visiting. [00:21:02] Dwelling in this secret place is not a technique you perform. It's a Communion that you live well, my phone died. I got time to talk to you, Lord. Well, before my days get busy and I get to my emails, I got time to talk to you, Lord. Well, you know what my priorities are. God first, my wife and my family next, Praise the Lord. [00:21:27] Then my job, then my church. But sometimes it's my church, then my job. I'm not sure. I'm just waiting on the Lord. You know what you got messed up. [00:21:36] All of is God in everything. [00:21:45] Three of you agreed? Praise the Lord. [00:21:48] I just don't know if I want to invite God to my Netflix. [00:21:53] I mean, my HBO Max account, if he saw that one. [00:21:58] When you begin to invite God into everything, guess what? You sin less. [00:22:03] Why not because of condemnation. [00:22:05] Because you're following him. Grace is an invitation to a buffet of goodness. [00:22:11] Why would you go eat sweets all the time? [00:22:15] You're just gonna get rotten teeth, right? [00:22:18] It ain't gonna fulfill you. Right. [00:22:20] You're gonna have a crash like it had. You know, the Bible says sin has a fulfillment for the season, but destruction is the end thereof. That's four cups of coffee, two donuts, and a Snickers bar. That's what it feels like. [00:22:30] Amen. I know. [00:22:32] Sin just crashes. It doesn't sustain. But when you stay at the table with Jesus, not because you're trying to avoid sin, he took power over sin. [00:22:42] You're worried about sin so much, you become so sin conscious that you're causing other people to sin with your judgment, become righteous conscious. [00:22:53] Become so focused on Jesus that sin is not even an option. [00:22:58] You know what I told my son this morning? And he thought I was joking. He's like, we gonna get coffee? I'm like, I don't know. I'm beginning to lose the taste of coffee. Shocking. [00:23:07] I know, right? It's not a sin. I'm just saying, like, my body doesn't want it anymore. [00:23:12] And then when somebody offers sweets, except somebody's brownies, I mean, these brownies are really good. Praise the Lord. But when somebody offers sweets, like, man, I'm gonna tell you what, I'm just like, nah, I don't have a flavor for it anymore. [00:23:26] Yeah. Because my body is no longer addicted to it. My body no longer craves it because I'm no longer eating it and consuming it and focused on it except them Vegemite shapes. Praise the Lord. [00:23:42] You bring four boxes in the house and I eat two and a half. [00:23:48] Amen. [00:23:49] And I promised my wife last night after finishing her box off that I'm gonna buy another one. Today, it's my only crutch right now. Amen. [00:23:57] But my body is starting to say no to things. Cause I'm not entertaining it anymore. I'm not focused on it anymore. The more you focus on sin, the less you're focused on Jesus and the more you will fall. [00:24:12] Amen. [00:24:14] Enter into the secret place and abide dwell. [00:24:19] You watching that show? Cause you need a break. You know you shouldn't be watching that show. Cause you need a break. [00:24:27] Ooh. [00:24:30] Moving on to the next point. [00:24:34] So up to here, all this sounds simple. [00:24:38] An ordinary room, a present. Father. Stillness in a doorway. But before it can feel simple, one question has to be answered. And it is the question the rest of this morning turns on. [00:24:49] How does anyone get to simply walk into a room and meet with God? [00:24:56] Simple question. How does anyone just simply get to walk into a room and meet with God? [00:25:03] We say the sentence like it's nothing. [00:25:06] There's no reverence in it. [00:25:08] You know why you don't respect his presence anymore? Because you don't have reverence for it. [00:25:13] There was a. Remember that Jim Baker guy? [00:25:17] Remember him? Y' all remember him? Televangelist that did a bunch of fraud and stuff like that? John Bevere went and saw him in prison because he just. He had questions about his salvation. And he looked at him and said, jim, were you saved? What happened? How could you take all that money? [00:25:34] And Jim answered this. He said, no, I love the Lord with all my heart. Answering from prison. [00:25:38] Now, most people would even disagree with that. How could you do so much wrong and take God's money? [00:25:45] He said, but you know what I lost? [00:25:47] I lost the fear of the Lord. [00:25:50] Now, the way some of us hear that is like fear, like trembling. [00:25:57] The way the word translates is reverence. [00:26:01] You know why I don't ride a motorcycle anymore? I have no reverence for it. [00:26:06] You put me on a motorcycle, if it can go 220, I'm going to find out. [00:26:11] I'm going to find out. [00:26:13] You know, why I don't get in the ring anymore and fight. I got no fear of another man anymore. [00:26:20] I'm going to find out how far I can push him and break him before he breaks me. When you have no reverence, you will push borders that are not meant to be pushed. This isn't about sin consciousness. This is about reverence towards the Lord. Let me ask you something. That grandmother you had. Remember that grandmother be the only one that would spank you when nobody else would? I mean, I don't know if y' all from that generation. They call that abuse today, but I call that just good parenting. [00:26:45] Sorry. Amen. I'm gonna step out of this light for a minute so I can see y'. All. Y' all remember that grandparent, okay? Yeah. Yeah. [00:26:53] Would you go in her house and leave a dirty dish with crumbs all around it on the dinner t? [00:27:03] No. [00:27:04] Why? [00:27:05] Because you respected her. [00:27:08] You knew the consequences. Yeah. Okay, okay, okay. Would you leave dirty dishes in her sink? [00:27:15] Would you not flush her toilet? [00:27:19] Would you leave an empty toilet, toilet paper on the roll? [00:27:24] No. [00:27:26] Because you had reverence for her house. [00:27:28] You had reverence for her. When you have reverence for something, you won't do something against it. [00:27:34] This is reverence. This is respect. Not like fear and trembling. I'm afraid God's done so much for me that my reward is to dwell with him. I'm in his house at all times, so I'm gonna pick up after myself. I'm gonna watch my actions. I'm gonna watch my words. Not because I'm afraid, but because I have reverence. [00:27:53] Amen. [00:27:57] This sounds like works. No, this sounds like respect. [00:28:01] I mean, I. You know what I can't stand? [00:28:05] I'll probably lose half of y' all over this. But that's all right, Australia, y' all go to America and call a pastor by his first name, you're gonna get rebuked. [00:28:17] Because we still respect the title pastor here. It's like we don't focus on titles. You know why you got no reverence? [00:28:26] Because pastors have been so bad over here, you got no reverence for the position anymore. [00:28:32] So you're holding the title against the bad actions of men and saying that title no longer deserves reverence. [00:28:39] I don't care if you call me Pastor, Kyle, PK or Kyle. I don't care. What you call me is how you see me. [00:28:46] But all you prophets want to be called Prophet of the Most High. [00:28:50] All you evangelists want to make sure everybody know, let's make sure our heart gets right when it comes to the Kingdom of God. Amen. [00:28:59] I just lost half the room. Tina, I think. I don't know. [00:29:03] Amen. [00:29:09] Why should I have reverence for you? [00:29:12] I gave my life to be in this position. [00:29:15] I sold my house to be in this position. I moved countries to be in this position. I show up sick to be in this position. I show up when nobody else wants to. [00:29:26] That's why these positions that are a gift to the body deserve honor. Not because they are good people, but because of what they do for the body. [00:29:36] Tony goes out tirelessly every week with Jeremy, and now they're going out, like, three days a week, I think. [00:29:42] How many days you going out? 2. If you let him go out there, he'd go out there seven days a week. But he's got Tracy saying, hold on, we need to rest. We got grandkids. [00:29:49] Amen. And then Ben's out there every day. [00:29:53] Amen. [00:29:55] The truth is, the door is torn open. [00:30:01] We can enter into God at any given moment. To understand what you've been given, you need to see what you stand in and what stands in the way. [00:30:12] The door is torn open. There is room. There is a room at the center of Israel's life that nobody could go in the holiest of all, behind the veil, one man was allowed through one day a year and never casual. Hebrews 9, 7. [00:30:28] I don't know why I got off on that pastor tangent. [00:30:32] I really don't care, but we should. [00:30:39] But into the second part of the high priest went alone once a year. [00:30:44] Not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people, sins committed in arrogance, ignorance. The Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest with the first tabernacle. [00:31:00] When the first tabernacle was still standing. [00:31:02] Do you know why the veil tore when Jesus died on the cross? [00:31:06] Because that was the last standing tabernacle. [00:31:12] What are you? [00:31:14] What are you now? [00:31:17] You are tabernacles of the Most High. [00:31:22] You make this place a sanctuary. [00:31:27] Not because you are many gods. Not because you're little GS. No. Because you are now a dwelling place of the most Holy. [00:31:40] Is that not awesome? [00:31:43] So why do you not drink? [00:31:46] Why do you not overeat? Why do you not do the things to this body? Cause this body houses the temple of God. [00:31:57] It houses the presence of God. And this isn't for us to become more religious. This is for us to recognize the power that is in us. [00:32:08] So when there's nobody around, make those your most powerful prayers. [00:32:13] When there's nobody listening, make that the time that you stomp the ground and sling snot everywhere. [00:32:21] Amen. [00:32:24] The next verse says the Holy Spirit. [00:32:27] Verse 7. The Holy Spirit was preaching a sermon through that curtain that was into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest. Every thread of the veil said the same word. Not yet. The room is real, the presence is real, and you can't come in. [00:32:44] Then one day outside of Jerusalem, the Son of God cried out, John 19:30. [00:32:53] So when Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, it is finished. And bowing his head, he gave up the spirit. It is finished. One word in the original. [00:33:06] What is it? Tim Telesti paid in full. Nothing left open owing. This is the word. Our whole series hangs on the same moment across the city in the temple. Matthew 27:50 50. When he said it was finished. This is what happened across the city. [00:33:27] And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit. Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. And the earth quaked. And the rocks were split from top to bottom. Not from bottom up, from top to bottom, which is the only direction humans hand. Human hands could tear. Human hands could do this. [00:33:53] Heaven's hands did this. [00:33:56] Does that make sense? The moment he spread his arms and said, it is finished. It tore the veil from top to bottom. [00:34:05] And that curtain was about as high as probably up there, if not about 2 meters lower. To give you reference. No one had ladders back then that they could just scurry up there and start cutting with some little scissors. [00:34:20] No, the earth shook when he said, it is finished. [00:34:27] Now here what the writer of Hebrews does with that. [00:34:30] This is the doctrine under everything I say today. Hebrews 10:19 22. [00:34:41] Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter in the holiest by the blood of Jesus. Hold on. [00:34:47] Just stop right there before you. Just move on. [00:34:51] Having boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood that was shed. [00:35:00] Stop right there. [00:35:02] He died for you so that you could enter in a dwelling place, a secret place, an abiding place with Him. You want power, you want presence, you want signs and wonders. Live in the dwelling place. [00:35:21] Don't show up to an event. [00:35:24] Show up in your heart. [00:35:29] Amen. [00:35:30] By a new and living way which he consecrated for us through the veil that is his flesh. The same way his flesh was torn is the same way the veil was torn. [00:35:44] And having a high priest over the house of God, let us draw near with that true heart and full assurance of faith. Having our hearts sprinkled from every evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. [00:35:59] In one go he took the brazen altar that had water and a mirror at the bottom that we washed ourselves with. In one go he gave us the sacrifice. [00:36:12] In one go he gave us the incense. In one go he gave us the showbread. In one go he gave us the ability to pray, to give incense up to God day and night. In one go he tore the veil so that we could enter into the holy of holies. In one go, all that happened amen and we sit back and wait on a sign and wonder, why did Jesus say, oh, you venomous vipers who look for a sign and a wonder. [00:36:39] We look too much for the happening when we don't realize what's happened. [00:36:46] Amen. [00:36:52] That's all right for those that don't want to clap. It's okay. [00:36:56] I'm just letting those that want to. To clap because this isn't a message that I felt like was going to make us shout boldness to enter, not sneak in, not grovel in, not earn your way in because you've had a good week. The boldness is not in you. It's in the blood. [00:37:18] And they're now removing that word from churches, too, because it's offensive. [00:37:22] Not this one. [00:37:23] Praise the Lord. Not this one. The veil that opened was his flesh. The veil that opened it was his flesh, which meant the door of the secret place is a person and he is alive. And that's why we're so close, because notice. [00:37:38] Oh, man. Go back to verse 21 and having a high priest over the house. [00:37:47] I am the under shepherd. [00:37:51] Paul said, follow me as I follow Christ. You know what y' all do now? I know. Ooh, Holy Spirit, you're so good. You know what you do when you sidestep the pastor? [00:38:03] You're saying the authority that Jesus put in place is not worthy of the high priest. [00:38:08] And you're in direct rebellion because you're tearing down God's order. [00:38:13] God gives pastors in the fivefold for the equipping of the saints to go out and do the work. And we're sidestepping and saying, all I need is Jesus. [00:38:21] If you cannot submit here, how can you submit here? [00:38:27] Amen. [00:38:28] If you don't learn discipline here, how can you learn it here? If you're not discipled here, how can you say you're a disciple here? [00:38:38] Amen. [00:38:45] The enemy is tearing down the church, man. [00:38:48] We need to get things back in order. We need to stop being afraid to say things, you know? You know, Roger, when pastors get the most afraid is when it comes to the offering. [00:38:57] Oh, he just wants my money. [00:39:00] Well, if you like me paying all the bills so you can just come in and eat for free, cool. I mean, I do it because God called me to, but is that right? [00:39:13] I've been doing it for 10 years without you. I don't need you. I'm just giving you an opportunity to do it for God. Amen. [00:39:20] We're too afraid to speak because of alternate opinions. [00:39:27] Tony, can I pick on you? For a minute, and you know where I'm going. Tracy, you with me, too. [00:39:35] What is it called? 30. 32nd. What is it? [00:39:38] 32nd Gospel. [00:39:40] Over 100 souls a week coming to the Lord. [00:39:44] You know what the first thing the church did? I'm talking about the body of Christ. Maybe some of y' all here. I don't know. You know what the first thing the church did is? The first thing they did is they put their mouth on it and say, well, who's discipling them? [00:39:59] You know what the first thing the evangelist did on the opposite side? Ain't nobody coming out with us. [00:40:05] The pastor should be there. [00:40:08] Let him do his job, Let me do my job. And stop putting your mouth on both of our jobs. [00:40:14] Amen. [00:40:15] Amen. [00:40:17] That just felt like a rebuke. Was that a rebuke? [00:40:22] Pretty much. [00:40:23] Because if there is a hundred souls. [00:40:27] If there is a hundred souls, I'm just waiting on y'. All. If there is a hundred souls that meet Jesus, what do you think heaven is doing? [00:40:38] Church? Let me ask you a question. And why we've come to this point? Get in a dwelling place and be ready for the hundred souls to start showing up. [00:40:46] What are we doing to prepare to do the work of that harvest? [00:40:52] Amen. [00:40:53] Oh, Lord Jesus, oh, Lord, Is this still life giving? [00:40:59] Is this good? [00:41:00] Amen. If we see this right, the gospel says, access is purchased. The secret place is not a discipline you owe God. It's real estate that was purchased by the blood. [00:41:17] If the blood covers you. Look at what Mark 1:35 says now. In the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, he went out and departed to solitary place, which is there where he prayed. [00:41:30] If the sinless son kept a secret place, the secret place is not punishment for the weak or weak Christians. It's a privilege. That. And he died to hand it to you. [00:41:45] If the sinless son took time daily for God, one of his hardest days, one of his biggest ministry days, he got up early before everyone else went the whole day. And it says the Son didn't even have a place to lay his head. Even foxes had a den to lay their head in. When the Son of Man did not. [00:42:11] Because he was so busy about the Father's business, because he got up and prepared himself. He never complained about burnout. [00:42:20] He never said he was serving too much. He never said that that ministry doesn't fit my schedule. [00:42:27] He said, what does the Father have me do? [00:42:34] Hold that picture for a moment. The price is paid. The high priest is on duty and the meeting is Live. [00:42:43] That is exactly what rose up in the dark. [00:42:47] When the phone died, when the phone shut down, when there was no longer the noise of Instagram and Facebook and YouTube shorts. [00:43:00] When the Internet went out and Covid happened, you had nowhere to go. You found out what church really is. [00:43:09] You found out that it's community, that it's gathering for one purpose, and his name is Jesus. And you reorganized your whole life to see the quality that God was giving. [00:43:21] Amen. [00:43:31] Which brings us to the honest part of this morning. The part we have to name kindly before it can change. If all of that is true, why is the room so often empty? [00:43:42] I can tell you why. [00:43:44] I'll tell him myself. [00:43:46] Spider man came out. [00:43:50] Odyssey came out. [00:43:52] I'm a movie buff, and I chose what I wanted over that secret place. [00:43:59] Maybe. Maybe it wasn't Spider man for you. Maybe it was a drink you needed. [00:44:04] Maybe it was that. I can't believe I'm gonna say this. [00:44:08] Maybe it was that porn addiction you can't get over. [00:44:14] Maybe it was that food that you need to make you feel better or that friend you need to gossip with to make yourself feel better about your life. But all those things aren't making you feel better. They're just leaving. Room empty. [00:44:26] I'm not here to condemn you. [00:44:29] But, man, grace doesn't mean we stop talking about alignment. [00:44:35] Grace doesn't mean we stop talking about repentance. Man, I hope you get to the place where you repent less and have a change of heart and mind more. [00:44:45] To get to a place where you live a life secure in Jesus by the revelation of knowing him and what he's provided. [00:44:54] But until you get there, repent. [00:44:58] Stop thinking you got it all together. [00:45:00] Stop letting your pride lead you. Stop letting your excuses exit you out of the room. [00:45:10] I got some beautiful volunteers outside right now. [00:45:14] They're taking care of two kids in the family. [00:45:18] Church is happening outside, just not with a sermon. But lives lived. [00:45:25] That's not an empty room. That's a full room for two or three are gathered together in his name. I shall be in the midst. [00:45:32] That's not church not happening. That's church happening. [00:45:39] Here's an honest read on us. I include myself. We have never had more of God's voice available and less of God firsthand. [00:45:49] Chat GPT. What does God's have for me today? [00:45:52] Man, you thought Google was bad? Chat GPT is writing more sermons than you've ever known. [00:45:58] I asked the pastor one time. That's a good sermon. Where'd you write that? He Said, I just got my thought, my thoughts, you know, I put it into chat gbt he wrote my whole series. [00:46:05] I said hallelujah. [00:46:11] I ain't saying that. [00:46:16] When's the last time you got a word from God? Because you opened up that onion skin Bible that you didn't just go to youversion and go through a devotional when you just got down with a notepad and a pen and opened your Bible and let God speak. [00:46:37] When's the last time you stopped talking about God and started letting God talk to you? [00:46:45] So many people want to be God's voice, speak into your life when they ain't even listening to God for themselves. [00:46:53] The room is empty, but it is finished. [00:46:58] Spend more time with God. [00:47:04] Acts 17:11 says this. [00:47:15] It shows us what firsthand people look like, people that spend time with God. When Paul the Apostle preached and look at what those believers did, they were more fair minded than those in Thessalonica in that they received the Word with all readiness and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. [00:47:39] Here's where it all lands not in guilt. Not in one more thing on your list. Not a diagnosis of secondhand information. A gift of firsthand. A gift of smaller and closer than you think. [00:47:53] Psalms 27:8 says, when you said, seek my face, my heart said to you, you, Lord, I will seek. When you said seek my face, my heart said to you, not my mouth. My heart said to you, I will seek your face. [00:48:10] Psalms 34, 8 oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man who trusts in him. Oh, taste explains everything. [00:48:19] David is not giving you a command there. He's giving you a recommendation to go eat. [00:48:25] Why did you watch that movie? Because everybody said it was good. Why did you go eat at that restaurant? Because everybody said that it was good. Why did you go hang out with those people? Because everybody said they're nice people. Why did you pray with them? Because everybody said they're prayer warriors. Why did you step into the room this morning? Because someone invited you to a place where the Holy Spirit equips saints of God. Someone invited you to a place that is going to challenge you, that is going to confront you, that is going to build you and equip you and get you ready for the Gospel and the working of ministry of Jesus Christ. [00:49:00] Someone invited you to a place not for a TED Talk, not for a simple activity, not for a moment in time where you can say, man, did you feel the Holy Spirit in that place? No. Somebody invited you to the room because you were desperate. Somebody invited you into the room because you were welcome. Somebody invited you into the room because you needed to know where God is exactly in your life. And somebody even invited you into the room. And you came this morning because you were curious. I hope you taste and see that the Lord is good. Get off of everything that you're on. [00:49:38] But this. [00:49:44] Is not the room you're invited to. [00:49:49] This is the dwelling place in the gatherings of the saints, in corporate worship. Worship. [00:49:55] You've been invited this morning to a place without other people, to a place without a building, to a place that beats with blood and that has a rhythm of grace. [00:50:09] And it's your heart. [00:50:15] You keep manufacturing moments. [00:50:22] I want you to come to church and I want us to get encouraged. But this is not the room. [00:50:27] The room is in your heart. [00:50:30] The throne is in your heart. [00:50:33] And he wants you to get off that throne and invite him to take his rightful place as the king of your life. [00:50:47] I preached for years, man. [00:50:51] I've seen the room go quiet and not a minister be able to speak. I've seen the Shekinah glory. I've seen the dead rays. I've seen eyes open, I've seen ears opened. [00:51:02] And I've had excitement. [00:51:04] And I've heard the Father say, what excites me is when they spend time with me. [00:51:23] Build a life that no one sees. [00:51:28] Skilled in righteousness and with the rhythm of grace. [00:51:32] Build a life that is foolish. Build to the wise. [00:51:39] Build a life that is foolishness to the world. [00:51:43] Build a life that is gracious when no one else is gracious. [00:51:50] Build a life that is not built on theology and doctrine and man's traditions. Build a life that is built on the word of God and his instructions. [00:52:03] Build a life that says yes to grace. [00:52:08] Father, we thank you this morning. [00:52:12] We thank you this morning by the power and revelation of God that is this morning I pray for my son and my daughter in law as they're just on that cusp of me seeing this beautiful bundle of joy. [00:52:32] And what sits in the back of my mind is new life appearing into this world. [00:52:36] But what sits in my life greater is freedom for this house. [00:52:41] Freedom in every person to practically walk in the presence of God without amplifiers, without the need of extra, but a still quiet place that is not emotionally driven but is the presence of God where true revelation is birthed. [00:53:02] Where true purpose is birthed. [00:53:06] The window behind our eyes when they're closed and the quietness of peace that passes all understanding. [00:53:14] It's in Jesus name I pray and we all say Amen. Give the Lord a hand clap of praise. [00:53:28] Thank you for tuning in to today's message.
