Show Notes

God doesn't just call — he confirms. And he does it three ways: through his Word, his Spirit, and his people. This message cuts through the noise of self-supplied prophecy, emotional fleeces, and isolated decision-making to show how confirmation actually works. The call is already inside. The room confirms it. The Word guards it. The Spirit witnesses it. A real call doesn't die under wise counsel — it gets stronger. Stop forcing doors that God hasn't opened, and stop waiting in the dark for a sign when the Word, the Spirit, and the body are already speaking.

[00:00:00] Welcome to the World changes church Gold coast podcast. Join us as we listen to today's message. [00:00:08] I hope we just showed you what real church looks like. [00:00:11] We love each other and we pray for one another. Amen. We have no ill will, words against each other, and we stand up for each other in times when which is necessary. And we love that kids shout right in the right moments that make us laugh. [00:00:26] Amen. So let's get back to it. I'm gonna preach the paint off the walls and give the devil a black eye. You with me? Amen. Let's go. Let's go. Amen. Let's go. [00:00:36] All right, let's go. Come on. I'm ready to go. [00:00:39] In Jesus name. He's gonna regret touching my family today because I'm gonna set loose an army on this place. Amen. Y' all gonna leave out of here so equipped. You gonna know that you know that you know that you know let's get. [00:01:00] The reality is God doesn't just call. He confirms. [00:01:04] We don't just get these callings and confirmations through quiet, quick cookies of fortune telling. No, no, no. They don't just come through private little words. They shake and rattle us to the very core of our body, that we can fill it down to the very marrow of our bone. And we can know it without deniability or even having to convince the person next to us. I know that God has called me and has confirmed it by the people in front of me. [00:01:29] Amen. [00:01:31] Because there will be a body of people that will begin to recognize the call on your life. [00:01:39] Now, that can be confusing, too. I believe you're called to be an evangelist. That's what they told me. [00:01:46] Uh, I believe you're called to be this, and I believe youe're called to be that. And then God said, son, here's what your calling is going to look like. You're going to be an evangelist, a missionary and a pastor. [00:02:02] I said, cool. [00:02:04] Y' all would think that I'm on pastor stage right now. [00:02:07] I am planting a mission church here in Australia. [00:02:11] I'm still the missionary. [00:02:14] And until we firmly plant this church and launch a second one, still a missionary. But you're a pastor. I'm a pastor missionary. I'm here to establish God's call and release it from my life and through his city. Amen. Now, I don't have to convince anybody of that, but I have to know that so that I don't keep taking detours. And that's the hard part about a call, is that was that you, God? Or was that me? [00:02:41] You know those moments where you had pizza late at night and you got up at 3am and you said, lord, I'm here to be your servant. Go back to sleep, okay? [00:02:53] Because you ain't gonna do nobody no good tomorrow. Grumpy. Amen. [00:02:57] But pray and pray with power and know that God has it and go back to sleep. Take some, I don't know, something to steal your stomach and go back to bed. [00:03:07] But God doesn't make it confusing. That's the other part about confirmation. [00:03:12] Well, maybe. [00:03:15] And you know, the other part is God doesn't have a psychiatrist named Michael. And Gabriel, he does not. Come in. Michael, Gabriel. I've made an appointment. [00:03:26] I just don't know what I should have Simon do. [00:03:32] I'm thinking five to 15 different options for Simon. [00:03:38] God's not changing his mind. [00:03:40] So that tells me who's changing their mind? [00:03:43] Us. [00:03:44] Because sometimes easier is better, right? [00:03:49] Sometimes comfortable is better, right? [00:03:54] Sometimes we have to recognize and stop in scripture and say. [00:04:00] Because if we don't know how to answer, was that God or was that me, we can never really experience our Gideon moment. [00:04:12] And a lot of times I don't really believe in fleeces because I think fleeces are us negotiating with God. I think Gideon needed God to prove it to him two or three times. Me, if God sends an angel and says, mighty warrior, that's probably enough for me, you know, I don't need any more confirmation. [00:04:33] But Gideon was a little bit stubborn. So let's go to Judges, chapter 6, verse 36:40. Judges, chapter 6, verse 36 40. [00:04:44] So Gideon puts out a fleece. [00:04:47] Let's read it together. [00:04:49] If you believe in fleeces, I'm going to talk to you this morning. So Gideon said to God, if you will save Israel by my hands, as you have said, wait for the contradiction. Look, I shall put a fleece of wool on the threshing floor. If there is dew on the fleece only and it is dry and on all the ground, then I shall know that you will save Israel by my hands, as you said. [00:05:20] Next verse. [00:05:22] And it was so when he rose early the next morning and squeezed the fleece together, he wrung the dew fleece, a bowl full of water. Then Gideon said to God, okay, don't be angry with me. [00:05:37] Don't be angry with me, God, but I need a little more. But let me speak just once more. Let me test, I pray just one more time. The fleece, let it know. Let it be dry only on the fleece and the Ground be wet. [00:05:49] Just summarize it. I know what it says. And God did. So that night it was dry and the fleece only. But there was dew on all the ground. [00:05:57] Go back to 36. [00:06:00] I think y' all already have the point that I'm about to make. [00:06:03] So Gideon said to God, if you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said. [00:06:26] The bigger question is, did God say it? [00:06:32] That is the real fleece. [00:06:35] Did I want to do it? Because you know Pastor Kyle, he's awful funny. But I think I could do it better than him. Did God tell you to take my place? [00:06:45] I believe I should go out and help Jeremy because he needs help right now. He's hopping around. I need to go help him do evangelism. Did God tell you to do that? [00:06:53] I need to go feed some homeless people. Did you ask them first or did you just decide on your own? [00:07:02] What did God say? Gideon knew what God said. [00:07:13] Word, Spirit people is what God confirms with. You got to first have the word. [00:07:21] But Gideon, add a little extra sauce on top. [00:07:24] Now, God ain't mad at you if you do this, but you don't actually need to do it. Because God's already said what will confirm will be the spirit of God and people. [00:07:36] Well, is God not enough? No. God adds two other elements to it to help you. [00:07:44] Because he knows that his voice sometimes isn't good enough to step on the thing in which God wants us to step into. [00:07:52] Amen. Now this might be hitting you a little hard this morning. Cause I ain't got no filter. So forgive me if it's just all Jesus. And I'm sorry, I'm too tired to hold back. [00:08:00] Amen. If you get mad at me this morning, just pray a little prayer for me. [00:08:05] Amen. [00:08:06] God doesn't just call, he confirms. So he gives his word first. How does his word come? [00:08:14] Well, I go to this meeting and the prophetess and the prophet and all the blah, blah, blah spoke over me. [00:08:21] If the word of God came outside, inside, it's already out of order. [00:08:28] The word that confirms your calling starts within you and is confirmed by someone that has aligned with what God has said in you. [00:08:42] It is never birthed from man to you to God. It is birthed from God to you to man. [00:08:48] Amen. [00:08:49] That's what we got backwards in church. Someone says you were called to this and then we start running with that and making a mess of things because we're now trying to self fulfill a self supplied prophecy. [00:09:05] Amen. Is this good? [00:09:09] So let's go with the word, if it contradicts the. [00:09:14] It wasn't the voice. [00:09:19] So if someone told you, or if something said to you that this woman right here is your next wife, there's two contradictions on getting your way. And there's a bulldog that's gonna bite you, and that's me. [00:09:35] But God doesn't speak against marriages. [00:09:38] Amen. [00:09:40] And if God told you that you were going to have a brand new car and it's Stuart's car that you're envious of, that's not how God works. [00:09:51] God is not a taker from others. He is a giver and supplier from heaven. [00:09:56] Amen. [00:09:58] So God is not going to destroy someone else's life to bless you. [00:10:04] Well, what about the wicked? He's trying to save the wicked. The calamity that's falling on their life is by their own design in the devil and not from God. [00:10:14] And if you're praying for their calamity, you are against God. Sorry, I dropped that nugget in. Where'd that come from? God. Amen. [00:10:21] So God never confirms a call that urges, that argues with His Word. [00:10:28] The word is the guardrail. [00:10:31] So here's what I want to look at. Psalms 119, 105. [00:10:36] Psalms 119, 105. [00:10:39] God's book and his voice. Never fight. [00:10:44] He doesn't call you to something His Word calls you away from. First test of anything stirring in you hold it up to some Pages found in 66 books. Psalms 119, 105. You guys got that? [00:11:01] Yep. [00:11:02] Nope. [00:11:03] They struggling. [00:11:08] Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. [00:11:13] Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path. [00:11:19] Notice y' all turn the heat back on. [00:11:24] No, I'm sorry. I had a moment where I was like, why am I hot? Sorry. [00:11:28] Notice one thing. [00:11:31] There is enough light for your next step. [00:11:38] There is enough light for your next step. Not the whole highway. [00:11:42] Confirmation usually comes with the next step. But notice one other thing. I'm just going to take a leap of faith. Was not designed by God. [00:11:50] I'm jumping out into darkness and seeing what God does. [00:11:54] God picked me up when I fell flat on my face. I saw what God did. [00:11:58] God is not calling you to stumble. He's calling you into confidence that he is leading you with your next step. There is enough light for the next step. And if you be still and wait on him, you'll stop doing all that back and forth with God and sidestepping with God, trying to get him to move it is you that's probably sometimes wanting to take your next step more than God. Does that make sense? [00:12:24] Amen. [00:12:26] Hallelujah. [00:12:28] Scripture tells us in Acts 17:11 that we know as a church. [00:12:39] Let's just go there. [00:12:42] These were more fair minded than those in Thessalonica in that they received the Word with all readiness and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. [00:12:55] With all the fact checking going on in the world, why do we not compare what's said to the Word of God? [00:13:01] We will fact check social media, we will fact check the news, we'll fact check another country's politicians and ours. [00:13:09] But when it comes to the Word, we design it on a feeling of whether we reject it or receive it. [00:13:17] Does that make sense? [00:13:18] We need to stop moving with how we feel. [00:13:22] We need to move with where God's leading. [00:13:26] Amen. [00:13:31] They search the Scriptures daily to find whether these things were so. And Scripture calls them noble for it. [00:13:38] If Paul's preaching had to pass the test of the Word, so does your prompting. [00:13:44] And Paul didn't have the beautiful journey like I got this morning to stand up in a forum and everybody just listen to him and say Amen. Paul had to debate with one over here and one over here and one over here. What about this and what about that and what about this and what about that and what about this? They weren't arguing with him, they were proving whether it lined up with the Word or not. [00:14:07] So your prompting, if it's drastic, only leads to disaster if it's without God. [00:14:17] Well, I was doing exactly what God said. I'm homeless and hungry now, but praise God, I did exactly what God said do. God doesn't lead us to valleys, he leads us out of them. [00:14:26] Amen. [00:14:28] You didn't want to continue in what restoration was necessary in the place you were in. [00:14:36] I'm not gonna go there. Cause that's another message. Is this good this morning? Are you listening? Amen. [00:14:42] So some of you are waiting on a sign for something. The book already settled. [00:14:50] If it's the Word, you don't need a fleece. And if it's against the Word, no feeling. I don't care how strong makes it God. [00:15:01] Amen. [00:15:08] Hmm. [00:15:13] Let that sink in for a second. [00:15:16] I'm so glad that you're here this morning because we get to just survey the Word and not each other's personalities and charisma and fame and we just get to be people that are trying to hear God. Well, amen. Isn't that good? [00:15:31] Amen. Whoo. [00:15:34] And there was a mighty rushing wind. [00:15:45] What a perfectly timed snort. [00:15:48] Amen. [00:15:49] Leave that in Simon. That'll be funny. [00:15:53] Wake him up so he confirms with his word. And then the second thing he does is with his spirit. When God calls you, he's already working within you. [00:16:04] Amen. He's already stirring the pot. You ever had a good stew? [00:16:09] Did it just get flash panned? No, it cooks overnight. [00:16:13] And a good sauce for a Bolognese. Mm. Cooks for three days. [00:16:19] I'm gonna tell you what. A good sauce takes time. [00:16:23] And sometimes we wanna rush the process and microwave it. [00:16:27] Right. [00:16:28] I know I'm talking to you. Because the spirit confirms on the inside with his witness and on the outside by settling up the other side of the story before you even get there. Do you know that while he's stirring you, he's stirring the people around you about you. [00:16:44] Do you understand that you don't have to come in a room and put a name tag on? Apostle, Bishop, Deacon, Holy One of the Trinity. [00:16:57] Lions don't have to roar when they come in a room. [00:17:02] The thud of their footsteps is enough. [00:17:06] Demons will know who you called to by the way you walk. [00:17:11] Amen. And when you walk in confirmation, there is no tiptoeing through the tulips. [00:17:19] I wonder if I'm supposed to do that. I did it anyway. It was in my mind. I had to do it. The intrusive thoughts won. Amen. Anybody want a picture? [00:17:29] Don't you dare. That's be a meme for social media. [00:17:34] But when you walk in confidence, you. You just. You walking, man. You don't have to look tough either. That's just my best walk. I'm not a model. [00:17:42] Amen. [00:17:44] But you walk in confidence. Somebody says to you, you just say, thank you. But that's not for me. [00:17:50] When somebody prophesies something over you that sounds really good but just has nothing in it. Thank you. But that's not for me. [00:17:57] Amen. [00:17:59] Let me tell you about a day God set up both ends of the phone call, inside and outside. [00:18:07] Tell you a story about a rooftop and a Roman. [00:18:12] A Roman soldier named Cornelius is praying. An angel says, send me to Joppa. Meanwhile, 30 miles away, Peter, hungry, on a rooftop, falls into a vision. A vision. [00:18:25] The sheep, the animals don't call unclean. What I have cleansed. [00:18:30] Peter is doubting. [00:18:34] Sitting there, wondering what it means. And while he's still wondering, there's a knock at the gate. And the spirit says, let's read it in Acts 10, 19 and 20. [00:18:44] You ever had that moment? [00:18:47] I Usually get it right here on the forehead. [00:18:52] Acts 10, 19, 20. [00:18:56] Behold, three men are seeking you. [00:19:00] Acts 19, 10, 19, and 20. While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, behold, three men are seeking you. Arise, therefore go down and go with them, doubting nothing, for I have sent them. [00:19:18] Catch that. While Peter was still confused. [00:19:22] You ever been confused about your next step? The light is in the path, but you're confused. The steps in preparation is there, but you don't know you're questioning. Peter was acting a little bit like Gideon, wasn't he? [00:19:36] Here's the difference between the New Testament leading and the Old Testament leading. [00:19:42] They didn't have the Holy Spirit, they just had the word. [00:19:47] Jesus came and added to us spirit and body of believers. That could help us when we're confused. [00:19:57] So if you think that being by yourself, all isolated with your cats. [00:20:04] Did I just say that out loud, Tracy? [00:20:07] I did. [00:20:09] Feeding Boo Boo in the fishbowl. [00:20:12] Goldie. [00:20:15] I couldn't come up with a better name for Goldie the fish. Goldfish. Other than Boo Boo, Not a good name. We should rename Goldie. [00:20:24] And you're isolating yourself, taking no counsel and confused. God sends people to talk to you in that moment. It's critical that you listen. [00:20:36] Because if in that moment you're saying, nah, I know what God is saying. [00:20:41] I know what I'm supposed to do. [00:20:43] Whose place have you just taken? [00:20:49] Let me say this a little bit more. When it's really God, you don't have to force the doors. He's already talking on the other end. When you're confused, you've got to kick open. [00:21:00] You've got to open that door. You don't have to manipulate it. You don't have to use your own strength. God's call comes with God's setup. [00:21:09] Amen. You don't have to make it happen. [00:21:13] So look at this. [00:21:15] Romans 8:16. [00:21:17] The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit. The deep settled, knowing, not height, not goosebumps. You ever had them? Goosebumps? Ooh, I feel the Lord. [00:21:28] Amen. I have them. I get them. Usually cause it's cold, but also when the spirit's moving. [00:21:33] I do not move off of goosebumps. I move off of God. [00:21:42] Peace. That stays. When the emotion leaves, emotion fades. On Tuesday, witness is still there in the storm. [00:21:51] Because you can feel good. I'm talking God. Hallelujah. He's called me unto the nations. Yes. [00:21:58] He's called me to lead people from out of captivity into the light. Yes. Well, God called me from my Comfortable job in New York City as an executive pastor, 5000 Cedar Church. One of seven pastors in that house to little old Australia with eight people in a function center. And I said, what have you done to me, God? [00:22:21] He said, do you know me? I said, yes. Do you know what you're called to do? I said, yes. He said, enjoy rowing in this storm. [00:22:29] I am not playing. That was God's joke to me. [00:22:32] Row. [00:22:33] Amen. [00:22:34] He said, enjoy it because I'm gonna grow you here. [00:22:41] God didn't just send people. He sent people to row with me in the storm while I grow through it. Amen. [00:22:50] Word spirit, people. [00:22:53] Confirmation doesn't just come for comfort. Confirmation so you can complete the call. [00:22:59] Confirmation comes. It also adds people to you so you can row through the storm when it doesn't feel good, when you're crying at night, when things are. When the devil's throwing everything at you. I ain't talking about the kitchen sink. He threw the living room, the second story, the bottom story, the basement, the roof, all the windows, and the kitchen sink. You gotta know that you're called, because if you really start following God, hell will not like you. [00:23:28] So do not think this is going to be fun, comfortable and pretty, but know that God will supply the whole way. [00:23:38] Amen. [00:23:48] So the fun part. Word spirit, people. [00:23:54] A real call survives. Counsel. [00:24:00] I don't want to talk to pastor because he'll tell me no. [00:24:03] Well, you probably aren't got a problem. [00:24:06] I know Pastor's gonna say, or maybe your last pastor was insecure. [00:24:12] And you think I'm gonna be insecure? Honey, please come take the keys off me. [00:24:17] I will let you run the party. Amen. Let's go. [00:24:21] I will let you do what God's called you to do. I am not insecure because I'm secure in him. [00:24:26] It's sometimes people's ideas that get in the way. Amen. [00:24:31] Our ideas about other people, our ideas about ourselves. And can I really trust anyone? [00:24:37] If you do not allow the third portion of the confirmation come to the table, you're lacking the whole buffet. [00:24:48] People are a part of the confirmation. [00:24:53] Amen. [00:24:54] Is this good? [00:24:58] Amen. [00:25:04] God confirms. Calling out loud. In community, a call can't be spoken to anyone. [00:25:10] Usually. [00:25:12] They usually can't be trusted. [00:25:16] You can't trust people. You won't hear from people. [00:25:19] You got to deal with that block. [00:25:27] Acts 1313 says, now look how the greatest. I just want to look at this. I want you to look at how the greatest missionary call in history actually happened. It wasn't Private Acts 131 3. [00:25:40] Now, the church that was at Antioch, there were certain prophets and teachers, Barnabas, Simon, who were called Lucas and Niger and Siren and Manian and all those other names that my stutter may not allow me to stay, that I don't claim who had been brought up with Herod. [00:26:02] That word. Can y' all say that for me? [00:26:05] And Saul? [00:26:07] The next verse. Guys, I gotta make you laugh this morning. I hope you're having fun. As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, now separate to me, Barnabas and Saul, for the work in which I have called. [00:26:20] Then, having fasted and prayed and laying hands on them, they sent them away. [00:26:26] Word, spirit people who called them out. [00:26:35] Well, I tell you what. Trevor called me out this morning to go be a parking lot prophet. [00:26:42] Trevor's not a leader, no offense. [00:26:47] Who calls other people out, other leaders, other people that see it. The congregation began to stir. The leaders began to see it. The leaders blessed it. They themselves were even stirred by God. [00:27:00] Well, when is Kyle gonna ever see the calling on my life? [00:27:04] When are you gonna recognize? You don't need call to Kyle to start your call. You only need Kyle to bless you while you do that in this place. [00:27:15] You only need me to bless you to do it here. You don't need me to bless you to do it out there. Jesus blessed you to do it. But the moment you come into a house with someone that sits in the office of a pastor, you submit your gift to that office. And if they can't hear it, God will stir them, just like his Word says. [00:27:37] Amen. [00:27:38] Do you trust God? [00:27:40] Then trust him. [00:27:43] Amen. [00:27:44] Is this good, Paul? The man who met Jesus face to face on Damascus Road didn't launch off in that private moment. Years later in a church service at Antioch, they're worshiping, fasting, and the Holy Spirit says to the whole room now separate. To me, Barnabas and Saul, for the work to which I have called them. To which I have called them. The call is already inside of Paul. The room confirmed it. They fasted, prayed, laid hands and sent them. [00:28:18] I want you to catch something here that we've lost as a people. [00:28:23] Paul met Jesus, heard his voice on Damascus Road. Went man to pray for him, to have the scales off of his eyes, to recognize and to be taught the New Testament. [00:28:41] Two years later, the man that spoke with Jesus had a vision. Whatever you want to call it is now being released. [00:28:54] I had a dream. [00:28:57] I had a vision while I was praying. You know how many times people use God as a trump card to me. Well, God said I should go out and start this. [00:29:07] You know, the reason I question whether you should is not because I don't want you to, is that I don't know that you're ready or not. [00:29:14] And I care for you so much that I want to make sure that you have learned of him, know how to hear his voice, have walked out word, spirit and truth in your calling, so that you can step out with surety. Cause, honey, it is not easy. You have to have confidence to walk in this. [00:29:31] I'm not a better man than you. I just have confidence that God has called me. [00:29:37] Amen. [00:29:40] And I've been patient to get to this point. [00:29:45] Proverbs 11 and 14. [00:29:47] Solomon said it in this one. In one line, where there is no counsel, the people fall. [00:29:55] But in the multitude of counselors, there is safety, private counsel. [00:30:03] Going away and just being by yourself because Jesus did it. [00:30:07] Can I remind you who Jesus was? [00:30:10] He was the Word, may flesh. [00:30:13] The spirit of God was resting on him. He had all three in one party. Anytime he went away. Amen. [00:30:21] Hallelujah. [00:30:23] Well, I must go away. Because Jesus taught us that we must separate ourselves and hear from the Lord. [00:30:29] Honey, when something's going on with me, I'm gonna look at you. Cause I wanna look at your. I'm gonna call you honey. Is that all right? [00:30:36] When something's going on with me, I am asking a hundred questions. I think God sometimes says, tina, can you go talk to your husband? Eli, go put your hand on your dad. Just let him know I'm here. Because I'm asking question after question. And I call my buddy Jamie. I call Doug. I call everybody I know that walks with the spirit of the Lord. Because I want to hear from the people of God, too. The people that I know hear from God because the people that really follow God are not going to tell you what you want to hear. [00:31:10] I called Doug a week after he preached. Thought I was going to have a good, you know, little, like, brother party. And we, you know, he's going to agree with me, and we're going to put ski mask on and go get some folk. And he said, not going to tell you why. [00:31:23] Don't tell nobody. Just get in the car. We're leaving. [00:31:26] All right? [00:31:27] I called him up and said, doug, he goes, kyle will have to start with your heart. [00:31:35] Da, da, da, da. Kyle will have to then talk to your mind the way you're thinking. [00:31:42] He said, but now I'm going to speak to your body that your Adrenaline begins to go down so you can think clearly. [00:31:49] Good counsel will not talk to your flesh. [00:31:53] Good counsel will help you subdue your flesh. [00:31:58] Amen. [00:32:00] And if that works in the emotion of anger, it is also necessary in excitement. [00:32:05] Amen. [00:32:07] Confirmation is key for our next step. [00:32:10] You met the person who says, God told me, but won't let anybody weigh it or speak to it. [00:32:18] God told me this. I just know. Do you know that's the most dangerous sentence you've ever said in your life? [00:32:24] If you'd ever asked and prayed and fasted and had some people recognize and you just made this decision on your own, do you know you're in the most dangerous position? [00:32:35] Because Gideon didn't have counsel, but he had an angel. He wasn't by himself. [00:32:39] Jesus had the spirit of God in the Father. Who do you have that's providing you good counsel? Who's making you wait? I called Jamie this morning about something I was going to say in church. Didn't even know I was going to preach. He said, kyle, you hadn't slept much. Maybe you should take a couple of days before you talk about that. [00:32:57] Do you understand what I'm saying? [00:33:01] Hmm? [00:33:03] Let people weigh in with you to slow you down before you step into offense or offending others or stepping out of walking in. Exactly what God's called you to. [00:33:21] A real call doesn't die under wise counsel. It gets stronger. [00:33:25] Is this making sense? [00:33:28] Handle it with care. [00:33:30] God doesn't just call. He confirms. [00:33:33] So let me bring this into light. Some of you have been carrying a stirring for a month. Has anybody been stirred? I feel called. Come on, raise your hand. Thank you. Thank you. Come on, raise them high. [00:33:43] You called people of God. Hallelujah. [00:33:48] Okay, maybe years. Anybody been waiting on God? Come on, lift your hand High. Yes. [00:33:54] Come on. Some 10, some 20, some 40 years. Hallelujah. [00:33:58] Amen. [00:34:00] And you've never said it out loud or. It's been so long since you've talked about it. Anybody called, raise your hand. [00:34:09] Amen. [00:34:11] Some of y' all just gave me an auctioneer wave. [00:34:17] Don't want nobody else to see. [00:34:25] Calling. Come on. Who's called? [00:34:27] Hold it. All right. [00:34:30] Was that God or was that you? [00:34:41] And the enemy loves you right there. [00:34:45] The questioning. [00:34:47] He loves you sitting right there in the questioning space because you're not doing anything. [00:34:53] You're waiting. But that is not the be still that God's talking about. You know what my waiting looked like? I swept gymnasiums for big ministries waiting. [00:35:05] I slept overnight as security when they didn't have cameras. For a flea market. I don't know if y' all know what those are. What do I call them here, huh? Swap markets. [00:35:17] I slept overnight with no pillow, no comfort as Shakira. I've done it all, waiting for man to give me the opportunity. But it was when I got lined up with the right ministry, with someone that would give me opportunity, what would empower me to move. That's when I felt the most called Amen. Not just sitting, hanging out on a Sunday. That's for fellowshippers. Amen. [00:35:39] Fellowshippers? Is that a word? [00:35:41] It is now. [00:35:44] The enemy loves you in the questioning because that keeps you kept in the dark and doubting forever. [00:35:51] You have the spirit. [00:35:53] You have this room. [00:35:57] You have this moment. The light has confirmed it. Raise your hand if you're called. [00:36:02] Keep it up there. [00:36:04] Father, I thank you for these people. [00:36:07] We bless them to start taking steps, whether it be discipleship, learning, submitting, serving, whatever their next step is. We bless them right now in Jesus name. Not that it's my blessing, but I want to release them from the thing that maybe the enemy's holding them back from telling them they're waiting on the moment. Here is their moment to be received and seen. [00:36:28] In Jesus name, we thank you, God. Amen. [00:36:34] You were never meant to know alone. Gideon needed a fleece because he stood alone all night. [00:36:39] You don't. You have a book. You have the spirit and you have this room. [00:36:44] You didn't come here by accident. You were led. [00:36:47] And the enemy's trying to get you out of here just as fast as you came in. [00:36:51] The enemy will make you have trouble with my leadership style because I'm gonna tell you my leadership style. I preached on it this morning. I have enough light for my next step. You want to know what we're doing in the next 10 years? I got a weather map to the destination. I do not have a road map. I know there's going to be storms. I know there's going to be hurricanes. I know there's going to have seasons. I know that it's going to be ups and downs. But I don't have the exact road map to get there. I might have the banner for the year. I might even have an idea of a catalyst of the route I might take. But I have a weather map to the destination. [00:37:26] And I got enough light in the middle of the night for my next step. [00:37:33] You want to know all about the vision of the church in the next 20 years? [00:37:38] We're going to go and make disciples as we're going. [00:37:44] It's that simple. We're on the Great Commission. That's the vision of this church. [00:37:51] And if you're called to make fellow peers, to see people healed, to be a witness of God. That's why you're here. That's why you're in this room. [00:37:59] The challenge is the three steps this week. Word. Take it to God and his word and hold scripture up to what you've raised your hand about. [00:38:10] Pray about it, settle it. [00:38:13] Have a witness, not a hype. [00:38:18] Tell it, say it out loud to a trusted leader. This week, bring it into the light. [00:38:24] Well, I want you to tell me, honey, Can I tell you about the last three days? I woke up at 5am on Friday, worked in a place till the next morning, left from that place, went and helped people move out of the house. Got a phone call from them at 9 o' clock last night because they couldn't find their keys. I drove over to their house to try and help them find their keys. Went to bed at 10:30, woke up at 6:00 clock this morning, came here and my daughter in law had failed and had to send her to the hospital. Do you think I got time to think about you? Tell it yourself. [00:38:54] The enemy's throwing the kitchen sink at me. Come to me. I need you to step in. We in a war, folks. This ain't playing church. [00:39:01] Amen. [00:39:05] Well, Pastor, are you venting? [00:39:10] No, you can't handle my venting. [00:39:14] I vent to her and sometimes she can't handle it. Amen. You better go to Jesus. I try and call in and. Well actually he try and call me and. Well actually. [00:39:24] How you doing, brother? Good, good. We just give each other a hug. [00:39:29] Amen. [00:39:32] If there's a stirring in you today and you've never spoken it, I want you to stand right where you are. [00:39:40] You know you're called. [00:39:42] Stand. [00:39:44] Stand right where you are. [00:39:54] Amen. [00:39:56] If we need people to come pray, come pray. [00:40:02] Stand right where you are. [00:40:05] I want you to look at the people around you and I want the people around them as they look around to make eye contact with them. Look around. You can do it. Don't be afraid of them. Look around. [00:40:15] I see you. [00:40:20] I see you even when God is calling you. [00:40:27] So I want you to stretch your hands towards these people standing. [00:40:31] Now, your hands stretch is just a point of focus. [00:40:35] You're not wishing or pushing anything towards them. It's a point of focus that you're praying for them. [00:40:43] So Father, we thank you right now as we pray for these people, as they stand in this moment May you shine light on their next step. [00:40:55] May it settle in their heart what they're called to do. Maybe they thought it was a brand, maybe they thought it was a place, but maybe it's a heart posture of purpose first that's held inside of identity. [00:41:09] Bless that purpose, whether it be vulnerable people, whether it be people in need, whether it be people that are witnessing. [00:41:20] Father, we thank you for your holy spirit moving in this place. [00:41:25] We thank you that you're flowing through and over these people right now in Jesus name. [00:41:31] And Lord, forgive me for my charisma this morning and my extra but Lord, bless them and the word that you've delivered to them. [00:41:41] May it be about their walk with you and the walk with others. [00:41:47] It's in Jesus name I pray. [00:41:50] Amen. [00:41:52] Don't sit down yet. [00:41:55] If you stood, we got a little bit more aerobics to do. If you're a called pastor and you are standing, you feel like you're called to be a pastor, I need you to come stand right here with me. [00:42:06] This is a scary moment. This is when we identify it. Anybody called to be a pastor? [00:42:12] Stand right here. [00:42:18] I know there's more in the room. [00:42:21] Maybe you're not ready yet, but that's okay. [00:42:34] Stand right here, brother. [00:42:36] Yeah, come on. [00:42:47] What a bold step these people are taking. [00:43:10] I know you're sitting there, man. [00:43:13] I'm waiting on you, man. Woman, Come on. Whoever you are. [00:43:21] God will you. Don't miss this moment. God just keeps calling. [00:43:26] All right? [00:43:28] Tina, would you come? I want you to stretch your hands this way. [00:43:33] This ain't normal church. This is a commissioning church. [00:43:36] Amen. [00:43:38] So you got your oil. [00:43:41] Just anoint these people. [00:43:43] I'm going to keep talking to these people while my wife anoints you. [00:43:49] This anointing oil doesn't mean you're a pastor. [00:43:52] This anointing oil means that you're stepping into the lead. Now you're going to do it. The leading and the discipleship and the submitting to learn what it is to be a pastor. [00:44:03] Amen. Does that make sense? [00:44:07] And if you know, let's not think we know. Let's be willing to surrender to a new way which God is leading. Amen. My wife is going to pray for you. I'm going to talk to these people. [00:44:22] So what about us this morning? [00:44:25] The intercessors, the prayer warriors, the missionaries, the teachers, the friends, the sisters, the fathers, the uncles, the grandparents, whatever title we carry, what's our call? [00:44:42] Our call is first to be a witness unto God. [00:44:47] I never see you as who you were. I see you as who he is in you. [00:44:51] Amen. [00:44:53] Amen. [00:45:02] So this morning, God is doing great things in this place. And we haven't taken an offering yet. [00:45:10] And the first offering you can give is yourself. [00:45:14] Lord, I surrender to this commission. I surrender to the call on my life. Amen. [00:45:21] I surrender to be a witness of Jesus. [00:45:24] And maybe I've preached too long, and maybe we're preaching too long, but maybe the Word is more than enough. [00:45:30] Amen. [00:45:32] This morning, I want you to recognize one thing. God didn't lead you here by mistake. [00:45:38] This word was here for you this morning to remind you of the calling. You say, why are we anointing them and not the rest of us that stood? [00:45:47] Because we need to identify what you're called to so that we can bless that. [00:45:52] But I must first establish training more pastors in this house for the next step for this church. Because that was actually God's call. [00:46:02] And he showed me the light. He said, we need more pastors. [00:46:07] People that are willing to surrender get up at 3am to go visit somebody at a hospital. [00:46:13] People that are willing to love and walk beside people, people that are willing to do dinner with people, pray for people, visit people, sit with people. [00:46:23] Because that's what pastors do more than preach. [00:46:28] Preaching is the easy part. [00:46:31] It's the life of a pastor that can get weary. [00:46:35] And so God's calling more pastors. And for those of you that stand and stood and those that are still waiting to stand, God is gonna keep confirming and shaping in you that formation of your call. And he's gonna start helping you identify exactly what it is. But let God and his Word confirm it first, then the Spirit, then people. Please do not get that out of order. Amen. [00:46:58] Do we agree on that? [00:47:01] So these people have went from the Word to Spirit to now us. [00:47:08] Amen. [00:47:10] So, Father, we bless these people to be trained and raised up as pastors. Not for this house, but not only this house, but for the Gold Coast. [00:47:20] And so, Father, may we pray for them daily as they go through this journey of being shaped as they are confirmed. [00:47:28] So we thank you, God. We honor you, God. It's in Jesus name we pray and we all say Amen. [00:47:36] Amen. For those who've already been prayed for, you can go to them. [00:47:41] Come on. Give the Lord a hand clap of praise.
